Know what ********es me off ?

Half baked supporters that always look for the worst in their own team, whether or not it exists. We were down by 4 points at quarter time on Saturday and some lame asses near me were saying "we're going to get beaten, its all over".

These are the same people that rip into our own players saying they don't try, should be dropped etc because they don't get 20+ possessions or kick at least 3 goals.

I'm not saying we start up stupid threads on the main board about Juggernauts and being top of the ladder, but have some faith in the team and players and enjoy the success and hard work put in by our players.

Ruddiger agreed.... why the hell would someone we have lost it @ qtr time when we were down by 4 points...

Although i must admit i did give Lynch a bit of a bagging last night... I got to the stage where i had to as he was just frustrating me to much... but its all good in reality as lynch not kicking goals isnt costing us any games

It's so much easier on the other side of the fence!

I thought we might be a little flat after the Brisbane game, so to win by over 6 Goals was a great effort!! :)

You get them with any group of supporters.

Back in 98 ? at the wacca, the eags were down 8 goals in the first quarter in a game against the bullies.

People were abusing the players and started to leave. The eags kicked the 8 goals in the 2nd and we won by about 17 points ?

One of the best games ive ever been to.

Where I sit it's not too bad, some get stuck into Lynchy a bit but it's more a shrill voiced woman screaming 'He doesn't have it!!!' and 'He's holding his arm!!!' at the umpire, at. every. fecking. stoppage.

and I mean SCREAMING.

Agreed. The other night a few people around me were constantly complaining about almost everything Chipper and Selwood did, it was mind-boggling really. Nicoski copped it quite a bit when he was in the team as well.

I get sick of the constant bitching about everything, particularly when we're 40 points up with 10 minutes, to go and no chance of losing.

Yeah, i also am annoyed when we praise Fremantle, hello, cross-town rivalry.

Remember it well. Went with a mate of mine who's a rabid Dogs supporter - wouldn't shut up all the way through the first quarter. I sat there, pretty quiet, thinking to myself "we can't possibly play this badly through the rest of the game." Lo and behold, we were leading at half time, my mate's copping it from me, and about 20 other blokes within earshot. Was a tight & tough contest for the rest of the night - wierest game of footy I've ever seen!

Suma had a night out if I recall.

Different game I think. Suma's night out was the time we won by 118 points back in '91.

In the 1998 game, Chad Morrison kicked 4, while Symmons and Gehrig kicked 3 apiece.

Akin to the game against St. Kilda in 1990 with Troy Ugle allowing 6 goals kicked on him, we were down a fair margin (sorry, cant remember) and was moved into the forward line and kicked 6 allowing us to win the game.

I think constructive criticism is reasonable.

We have a lot of depth and good players are missing out. Perhaps rightly so, but at season end we are going to have to lose some players. Some will want to go for better chances of getting a game elsewhere. Others maybe because of salary cap problems. Our young players will be demanding higher wages.

Who do we think will be in our best 22 next year? McConnell, Morton, Selwood, Butler, Waters, Nicoski etc, maybe. If so then who misses out? Do we trade them?

Best to discuss the good plyers and the not so good continually

ps Half assed. Is that some sort of talking donkey?

Half asses supporters meaning they are too quick to write off the team (i.e. being down by 4 points at quarter time) or slagging off players that don't play to the level of Judd or Cousins.

Constructive criticism yes, but not bagging of players who are having a go. People who are quick to jump on the anti Doogs and Lynch bandwagons, saying they have no heart etc. Tossers basically.

So as an ass is a type of Donkey how does half a donkey relate to being a 'tosser'.

ps I agree with them being tossers it's just the donkey bit that confuses me
