good to see them giving a shit, Sylvia won't go if its up to him imo
We'll see. Look, on his day, he's invaluable. But 'his day' isn't often enough. I hope if they keep him on, he gets a kick up the backside. In saying that, I think the team as a whole will.

On a completely different matter and the topic of fights, were any Dees supporters present at the end of the game near gate 1 when a Dees supporter was king hit and floored, hitting his head on the concrete.

I was there at the tail end (hearing him fall) of it where the lad was on the floor bleeding from the mouth and back of his head. Moron security guards just stood around, I approached one making it known that I am first aid qualified yet was told to leave him alone as St Johns Ambulance were on the way who seemed to take 5-8 minutes to get there before I wandered off as he was in good hands.

I didnt see what caused the incident, but there were kids around who saw it and apparently the guy who hit the bloke was let go by security, but they caught up with him again and held him until police arrived.

Anyway, I hope the bloke is ok as there is no need for this behaviour anywhere.

What a dog act (no pun intended not a laughing matter) but just as bad ad the act itself is the security guards letting the guy go... Hope the bloke is ok and i hope the scum who did it has the book throw at him and is banned from all AFL events

I think this is a view that was correct before this season. Col has been a much more consistent performer this year, to the point where I think he'll be top 5 in the Bluey. Of course, he's still got work to do (who doesn't) but from what i've seen he really worked hard this year to be a consistent contributor. There are plenty of other guys i'd like to see the back of before Hank.

I was watching him on the weekend. His work ethic wasn't good enough. Not saying he hasn't been better this year, but he still has too many mediocre performances for my liking (especially knowing what he can do). He may be down on confidence too, who knows. I do think he'd flourish under a good coach, and was happy to see him jump into the brawl quite aggressively :p.

gotta laugh some dogs supporter was mouthing off about Gawn going after one of their players when he pushed him in the back on the mainboard, yet Minson started the whole thing by going after McKenzie who is half his size. watch from 1:10

Yeah, that's ManOfClay for you

I watched Sylvia give essentially no effort to save a weak kick to him from being cut off in that 2nd quarter then barrel across the pitch in to the melee. Priorities, eh?

Surely the 1/2 biffo took the higfhlight off of one of the most pathetic displays of umpiring I'd ever seen.. 15th vs 17th, but still, come on... Jack McHale from the local U9's could have done a better job.

Anyway, a bit of biffo is good for the game.. Who cares who started or ended it, it got the crowd involved & revved up.

Hunter stirred Gawn first, Gawn retaliated.
Heard Minson elbowed Mackenzie or something to start it, bunch of Melbourne players ran in.
Pretty sure Grant just dragged someone down.

The Winner is the AFL as Andy D dishes out a few fines

From what I saw, Gawn shoved Luke Dhalhaus in the back and Hunter pushed Gawn in retaliation :)

I'm disappointed this thread wasn't called Half Time Kerfuffle. It's much more entertaining to hear about fines, suspensions etc being dished out for a kerfuffle.

When you say Gawn shoved Dhalhous, did you mean to say Maximus Gawnius didn't even see Dhalhaus and accidently stood on him as if he was an ant???

Nope, Gawn gave him a love push in the back and the little fella in Hunter decided to stand up for his fellow small dude.

Gawn was giving the crowd what it really wanted... midget wrestling.
