in regards to the OP was there a preview thread or a thread asking for predictions half way? I have no idea and could be wrong but whether it was me or not 7-4 has a real ring to it. Not sure if i have killed too many brain cells between then and now so couldn't be sure. Would be an interesting read
I did not see a preview thread.

I agree we won't flog them like we used to (only WC have this year) but we don't need to. Low scoring games can still be very good for percentage. Sydney beat them by 31 and only conceded 38. While it was a slug fest, they still got a % of 181 from that game.

If played them next week and belted them 130-70 (10 goal win) that would boost our % by 5 points but if we beat them 70-30 (like Sydney and Collingwood have) it would still go up by 3 percentage points
Woweeee that is far to advanced maths for me.... How about he hold them to under 10 points and we score I dunno...... 222points...

There will be over half a dozen teams with 15+ wins. 6th is possible but any higher will be very difficult.

We play footy like that third quarter from the outset and we will push every team to the line and break most of them.

We have the capability it is yet to be seen if we have the application to do it consistently and for long enough.

The worry is that we cracked under a lot of physical pressure in the 1st half. That is what it will be like come finals time. I hope we respond better.

We cracked for a quarter.

First quarter we were on terms.

The second quarter was as bad as anything we have put on the park this year.

the third was the best we have. We responded really well. Now that response need to come mid quarter when things are not going our way. Our leaders need to stand up take charge and change things.

Win loss is not in bad shape.

Team can improve but add Thomas, Wells, Tarrant, MacMillan, Grima to the squad and the ball movement improves.

Might take a few weeks to get some of the above going but we could hit red hot form leading into finals.

So we know we can defend better but I would like to see some faster ball movement.

By the end of the year we could have teams with an average 120 games.

Teams of that experience have no excuse for some of the trash performances where we have pretty much lost the game in a quarter.

Mmmm...pretty much game over after the 1st.

Ball movement crap. Decision making crap. Flat footed midfield.

Bastinac jogging around not looking at the ball.

Chance to close out the 8 blown.

Same old North. Half full does not apply.

Its the same ****en shit sad story since 1999. Port Adelaide is back since 2004 South Melbourne has rarely missed the finals since 1995 for 2 premierships in 2005 from Paul Roos and 2012 from John Longmire
