I disagree, Erin Phillips would be a very worthy nomination. She has achieved an extraordinary amount in the game in 3 years.

BTW John Coleman played for just over 5 years, didn't stop him from been made a Legend.

Coleman won 5 VFL goalkicking awards, played in 2 premierships and then coached 2 premierships. He was inducted nearly 30 years after finishing with the 2nd greatest goal kicking ratio ever.

Yet he got in over Coventry, Wade, Lockett & Dunstall who were all ahead of him on every other metric.

Premierships played in counts for stuff all, by that logic Grant Birchall is twice the player Wayne Carey is because, you know, 4 > 2, but since you went there, Phillips has played in two premierships herself and played a major part in both.

Goal kicking ratio counts for stuff all too, Allen Jakovich reached 100 goals before any other player in the history of the game , should he get in Melbourne's Hall of fame over Garry Lyon because he got to 100 goals quicker?

My point wasn't to compare them, but to show that even with their short times in the game that they left a huge legacy.

Heard a rumour that the AFL are keen to elevate Mo Hope to 'legend' status which is the precursor to a future Hall of Fame nomination.
