I'd be happy to refer to them as brain dead... but eh... probably best not to venture to "other team forums" as a rule of thumb. :)
 
Going on the North Melbourne board and seeing all the posts that they're proud of the way the played rough today was Disgusting, How you can be proud of that performance is unknown they were geting pantsed by 10+ goals and were trying to target players, Go back to where you came from :thumbsu:

Gotta love how they praise their guys mobbing Barry but refuse to acknowledge their thuggish tactics.

Typical of North Melbourne. Shinboner Spirit is playing hard and tough, not playing like thugs.

That might be a very good idea - all team boards are different.

We have rules and guidelines on this board also - so it might be something that opposition supporters should read before posting on here.

Now perhaps we can get this thread back on topic...
 
Agree with DarwinRoo somewhat, dont like where this thread is going.

By all means attack North over their antics today, but their financial position and crowds? Been just as much a sore point and worry for us down the years as for them. Thought we would be above that sort of rubbish.

Fair call... After reading through this thread again, I noticed it was only a yellow card, so maybe all hope is not lost.

Love the North Korea call though :) their is definitely communist rule flowing through Arden St with Kim Yung Scott at the helm currently.
 
I hope B.B.B.B.H. (and yes, the second B. is back) gets off this one - I'd rather take you guys on at full strength. I'd love to see Pears cut his teeth on Hall for four quarters.

Definitely a low blow from Thompson knocking him over while tying his laces. But we knew someone would have tried this kind of tactic at some stage of the year. Hall had to be smarter, he's let you guys down. He has not repaid the faith you showed in him.

He could well miss a few, but as an older player, the rest could do him well through the middle of the year. He'll be back rejuvenated for the run into the finals.

May the best team win next week.

Absolutely!

We've been on deaths door many times. It's as cheap as North were today to attack financial position, lack of past/future success etc. We pride ourselves on being a proud, respectful and fair club.

If that fails, then as the old saying goes, "if you have nothing good to say, say nothing at all".

Thompson provoked Hall, was at him the whole game, started the incident and you mob are whinging that Thompson was put in a headlock after 4 of your "brave" players had a go.. Its usually the thing reserved for school yard antics, but North Melbourne who couldnt match it with the football skills on the day , had to resort to something else.

If Hall goes for a week or two because of the "headlock" misconduct charge, Thompson better go for at least 2 with his headbutt. Im not normally one to get on the end of these stupid rants, but you North Melbourne supporters are by far the worse on the big footy forum for your whinging.

A lot of people are saying he'll get weeks - but surely he has a case?

I just don't want to comprehend losing Hall for an extended period ....

You may have to. And I'm sure MC have a no-Barry game plan as that would have been seen as a pretty high risk from the time he walked through the door.

Surely we haven't gone from the highest scoring team in the AFL with just about the greatest spread of goalkickers to a "No Bazza = No Bulldogs" outfit? (We're not StKilda, are we?)

Can't answer your question though. Natural justice would say a fine and reprimand and the AFL does seem to try to dispense natural justice. However if they go for "the letter of the law" he may be in trouble.

What will be interesting to observe will be whether we contest any suspension that's given and risk a greater penalty.

Whichever way it goes the press has plenty of material for its sports pages and opinion pieces this week.
