Browns as tough as they get and if you think otherwise then you havent watched him play much, he cops as much as he gives. Jackson was pissed cos Brown got him a good hip and shoulder earlier on . Brown verbalises the players as well, if they cant handle it they should pick a different job I reckon. Browns incident and Thompsons are hardly alike, I didnt see Brown go and knee someone while they were doing their laces up!

Best that you dont bring up Brown.

Collected Jackson fairly in a one on one clash.

Should be finished - but Brown runs up to Jackson as he is being assisted from the ground.

A cheap act from a cheap player.

Hypocrisy of football fans is just too much. It's ****ing hilarious.

You are all a giant bunch of fairies.

For **** sake. There is no comparison between nudging someone (who is already) off-balance to the ground to a 30 second hard headlock. Imagine it was your kid- which would worry you more.

Do we acknowledge Thompson is a pain in the ass? You bet. Has he ever king hit blokes and eneded their careers like that socially deranged thug in #28? No way.

And to those claiming we ganged up on Hall? Well it would have been a fair fight had the Doggies bothered to help out their mate- just like our boys did.

Laughable.

Hall (and Stack) were alone in the forward 50 while the other Bulldogs continued to play the ball up the field. The fact that there were so many free North players off the contest, prepared to get involved in the biff, speaks volumes about their game style under Scott.

North = a worse version of Hawthorn.

One thing is for sure....Baz is going to find it a little harder on the field for the rest of the season, especially towards the pointy end! Defenders are going to do the Thompson on him to put him off his game!

We are the youngest team in the league, developing new game styles.

You had better win this year, because it will be a long road back with that aging list.

And it went on for 5 minutes. One would think that;s enough time to get over and help your mate, but not many did.

He nudged him over, and got put in a headlock.

Is there any need for a ****ing thesis to be written about this? My god, get over it.

What Thompson and some other players were doing to Hall over the course of the match has brought their club into disrepute IMHO. It's like they weren't even focusing on trying to win the game. Goading an opposition player who has been the focus of so much scrutiny might give some of their players their kicks, but its immature, cowardly, and one questions why the AFL should continue to prop up a club that acts in such a blatantly unsporting manner.

As for you North fans defending Thompson and Brad Scott (who obviously allowed this, may have even orchestrated) have a think about the bigger picture here. Think about what the point of your players running out on to the field, and what they are trying to achieve, and why. Every other team is out there trying to win games, qualify for the finals, and win a flag. I don't know what the hell North are trying to do, but yesterday, it sure as hell wasn't that.

You're clueless.

Thompson plays like that. Every single week.

So far only Hall has been deranged enough to react like that.

When he snapped, of course our players are going to wind him up.

Every top 4 team will now.

I thought headlocking was Barry controlling himself :D

Thompson kept Hall to almost zero touches until that point, why he resorted to that i don't know. The elbow stuff i can understand but pushing him over while he's doing his laces up, you've got to be kidding me. I hope whichever team lines up against him next week gives him a taste of his own medicine..much like Collingwood did against Clint Jones that week.

Will probably get weeks which is a joke because in my eyes it's wrestling which is a fine at worst. Gotta feel for the big fella...

We're a top 4 team looking ahead to September, and were belting your mob by 10 goals. Why risk getting involved with a bunch of lightweights?

Brian Lake ran from full back to fly the flag - it was the only time all day that a North player got close to him.

So you're saying that no Dog came to help their mate out?

Cool :thumbsu:

No, I didn't say that.

At all.

If you actually watched the game, you'll see that a number of Bulldogs players got involved. Not all of them, obviously, because why waste that sort of energy on a team like North?

We get 2 guns under the Father/Son rule in a compromised draft to compliment the young talent we have coming through at present (who will take over from our ageing stars). There wasn't much to be impressed with looking at Norf's kids (even my North mate said Ziebell was supposed to be an elite kick in junior level but hasn't seen it at present). Getting ex-thugs as coaches only leads to the rubbish you put up yesterday (especially when it then gets defended).

Tough guy.

No one's saying that he hasn't messed up in the past so that picture is more of a reflection on your ability to construct an argument more than anything else.

Next you'll be pointing out spelling errors..

So when did he stop being a thug?

Does wearing a different coloured jumper means all his past king hits have been absolved?

More to the point: why is this mentally deranged pygmie still allowed on a football field?
Have you watched him this year? He has been as controlled as any power forward who cops that rubbish has been, and in my eyes gets it much worse than the others... yet gets a lot less protection from the umpires...double whammy.

He is still able to play because at the time of those incidents he received his punishment, served them and moved on. Again, no one's denying that he's been problematic in the past..but in 2010 i think he's carried himself well.

Re: Barry Hall has cracked!

You can tell the Roos are being coached by a Kray brother.

If the MRP has any sense at all, the Roos involved in all the commotion should get more weeks than Barry but the MRP doesn't have any sense.
Yes that sums it up I reckon.
