i think it's both brave and stupid for obvious reasons

lol at people throwing a hissy fit for pushing a player trying to do his shoelaces up though, as though this has never been done before. I'd bet large money that every single one of our clubs has had a player do this to the opposition before. never seen a port player do it but i'd bet one has. it's stupid to do because it prevents someone from being able to play, but don't act all shocked and throw around all these descriptions as if it's never happened before when a player you support has done it

This Franklin has had it done to him as have many others. Most people would just shove back, but Barry just can't do that

I don't mind Barry, but boy is it easy to work him up, must be tempting.
Also agree with another poster - Barry has knocked a guy out cold yet we all cry when he gets pushed over. Sorry, I must be on BigNetball.com.

Well yes he is, Thompson is known to be cheap and dirty player. The elbows to back of the head of Jonathan Brown caused the AFL to change the interpretation of the rules.

In real life I doubt I'd have someone elbowing the back of my head to react to for your so called court case.

Thompson didin't elbow Barry Hall in the back of the head... he bumped him over tying his shoelaces. So yeah you think he should be knocked out for this? Hmmmm....

I think you'll find Barry Hall has gone well past the extremes of the rules - he has blatantly ignored them many times. Yeh Scott Thompson is an annoying player no denying that but people justifying Hall losing the plot and possibly hitting him or something well that's just ridiculous. Why do people think Scotty is niggling Hall more than others?

Just saw the incident on the delayed telecast. I wanted to get up and smash some North players (probably without much success), imagine what Hall wanted to do. Was a pretty dog effort by the North players. In that situation I wouldn't mind Barry going bang. The North players deserved it.
