How was Thompson different to Picken?

What about what Ablett and Judd cop?? Why is it so cowardly when it is done to Hall but not Judd??

Which incident was the Picken one? Remember, I am not a Bulldogs supporters, just a Barry Hall supporter, if Picken deserves to go, he deserves to go, but Thompson should go, if Hall goes.

Ablett and Judd gets looked after by the Umpires, Hall does not. Why do you think he gets frustrated for? He clearly doesn't get the same protection, as Ablett and Judd and I'm not saying that those two players don't deserve any, but every player on the field, should get protected by the Umps, but at the moment, there's rules for some players like Ablett, Judd and Riewoldt and players like Fevola, Franklin and Hall and things won't be changing anytime soon, until the AFL makes a stand against these sorts of things.

Yeah but how much is too much? I don't mind any player copping niggles, i mean the Crouch/Aker thing was amusing to a degree, but Thompson took it to another level.

Surely Thompson might actually back his ability (if he has any) to beat his opponent fair and square one day. Rather than try to niggle his way under their skin for the entire game.

Doesn't say much for Scott's coaching ability to be honest. Rubbish and cheap tactics like those will get you no where.

If you feel so strongly about the actions North BF posters, why get sucked in and play this adolescent crap back and forth?

Now this rant isn't directed at you mate, but more so the general patronage of the main board.

I don't get how people let actions of people on an internet forum totally cloud their opinion of a club, it's seriously not worth the frustration.

This issue is almost a mirror of the standard of posting on the main board, neither party is really at fault and well within their rights to take the viewpoint they do, but the total and utter lack of action from the mods allow just about every thread here degenerate into a pissing contest between posters of clubs.

Not just North related but every topic, but everything from Luke Ball to Hawthorn failing - it's a complete joke.

If admin are happy to let people pony up 20 bucks a year for an avatar and post what they want - fair enough. But should the powers that be want decent sensible discussion, the mods need to pull the fingers out of their arses and be a lot more pro-active.

That's the thing Ed mate. Thompson has the ability to beat Hall one on one, he is a fine defender, he doesn't need to do what he did on Saturday, as he clearly went too far. He shouldn't have poked the angry bear.

Thompson annoys all opponents and nothing has happened till now , Barry Hall needs to cool down if he wants to play AFL football and from what I have seen he isn't that keen on continuing in a responsible AFL manner ... too many indescretions . AFL want a clean game , I hope Barry Hall gets ruled out and umpired out of the game

Well said. All of the doggies supporters are worried due to his reputation that he will get demerit points and be out for a few weeks. In reality, it should be a wrestling charge and a fine. If Mitchell can be fined $900 for pulling hair, then this is no worse.

Absolute rubbish. Picken did it to Harvey last year. When he ran onto the ground for the first time on Saturday he headed straight for Harvey, cannoned into him and knocked him to the ground. The ball was nowhere near them. Picken was as bad a tormentor as Thompson.

Still can't work out why Thompson has copped all of this rubbish. He's watched very closely by the umps each week and never gives away free kicks for his niggling.
