Halo Good for PC?

I guess alot of people know there is supposedly a Halo port to PC in the making or even already made I'm not sure. Anyway to get to the point do you guys think Halo would work as well on PC as it does on Xbox?
Think about it, without a gamepad it'll be hard WASD is good but not as good. The major point I think is the whole feeling, It's like playing a racing game on PC doesn't really have the same feel as playing on a PS.


Anyways my opinion is no it won't be anywhere near as good as it is on Xbox and I am a pretty big fan of PC FPS games.

It has been confirmed that Halo PC is coming.

With the controller, I think it depends on your personal preference - I cannot stand trying to aim with the XBox controller, give me a mouse and my trusty keyboard any day. Halo's main advantage on the PC will be that multiplayer (particularly large scale multiplayer) games will become far more prevalent thanks to LANs and the Net. Modding is also a good possibility with a PC version. And of course resolutions can be jacked up if you've got a beast of a machine.

However...that said, I don't think it will do as well as other shooters. PC gamers are spolied for choice when it comes to FPS and Halo will really have to bring something exceptional to the party to make itself seen. Half Life has story, the Quakes have huge modding potential, NOLF has personality..what will Halo bring to the genre that we haven't already had before? Having played the XBox version, I'd have to say "not much". The PC version will need to sport some serious enhancements if it is to survive what is a pretty cutthroat market.

In Half Life and games like that....can you climb into Tanks, Jeeps, Ghosts etc and blow things up? I think that's one of the best features of Halo, the vehicles you get to hoon around in

IMO Ive only ever played Halo on my trusty XBox and the game DOMINATES!! Im not a fan of the keyboard/mouse setup so I wouldnt like it on a PC.

Oh and I have no idea if it is coming to PC or not.

I think by the time Halo comes out on PC, Halo 2 will be out on Xbox

Thats right. The vehicles make all the difference.

Halo 2 is supposed to have more guns and more vehicles.
Therefore more entertainment

Battlefield 1942, amongst others. It's a crowded marketplace, I tells ya...

battlefield 1942, tribes 2/3, red faction and several other PC games support vehicle combat, and both quake and UT can be modded for it.

i still believe the PC is the best game system out there.

Also more aliens to kill. There was only your basic 4 types of aliens to kill. The little snout nosed ones, the dudes with shields, the big quick guys with the plasma rifles and then the really big slow guys with the huge green cannons!

Well I think if Halo 2 comes to Xbox before Halo is out for PC there will be alot more PC players buying an Xbox just for Halo 2 than people buying Halo for PC, If you understand what I mean.

Mr Eagle probably makes the best point about the multiplayer side of things. Halo is a really kick ass game but once you've played it through a few times it's bound to get boring, Just think about playing people all around the world and running down some American with your best friend manning the LAAG in the back of your jeep gunning down the little homie kid down the street.
