Oh, what a traitor that Bell is, at least he is honest enough to apologise to the supporters and tell you why he wanted to leave, he probably left out the fact that he would still be there if he had been offered the money that the captain who jumped ship was for a stuffed knee BEFORE the year was out. and treated with respect and dignity..the way we have always treated him, unlike the criminal Carlton president who just called Hamill a "prick" in front of the supporters...Elliott is proably right but we have more class at North. If Bell felt he did nothing wrong why did he apologise.Bell was a hack with no future who North turned into a decent player.Unlike King.. he went to the dockers for the money ..pure greed nothing else..if anyone should have gone for the money it should have been King who works in a timber yard. Bell will have a career in the legal field when he has finished sucking the dockers money..he wont ever be short of a dollar..he is just plain greedy...King could have left for the money and the supporters would have understood.Colbert wanted to play in a premiership team..why wouldnt you want to play for the club that always plays finals footy..

Interesting, is it not, that no one is super keen to leave Essendon - I mean if I could earn 150-250K at Windy Hill instead of say 250-600K at say Sydney, but get to play in an all time great side and stand a chance of winning premiership medals - I know what I'd choose too!

Seriously if you had the chance to set yourself up on a finacial deal DOUBLE what you were being offered for one company or choosing to work for another at less fiscal reward but more job satisfaction.
