Please tell me I saw the wrong thing but....

Did Hamill deliberately back into Harley, then dive? I wanted to see the replay but missed it. If so then the umps, while good most of the night, have let us down again. The resulting 9 points hardly reward for such acting.

Hope I'm barking up the wrong tree, but really a good performance from the boys.

PS: Who thinks Bomber needs to work on his 3Q Time address?:D

move on

maybe you are both right or wrong I am not sure but give credit to the saints for that last quarter. I am proud of the cats but a bit dissappointed they couldnt step up in the last quarter.

Signs are great for the future though. GO CATS!!! :)

Congratulations to Stkilda. they were the better team on the night.
But it is becoming increasingly anoying to watch a bunch of bald headed little ****** change the flow of the game with rediculous decisions.
For me the hamill incident was and illegal shepherd, as it was a week earlier when neitz got the free. You are not allowed to step infront of an opposition player or "block" when they are following their man. The ball has to be within five meters, as is the case with a normal shepherd. In both cases the ball should have been given to geelong where the ball was. It happens to forwards every week, and they get the kick, so why not defenders.
I too thought that Luke balls disposal was a blatent throw. A two handed scoop is not a legal handball.
Another free that was missed was when enright took on thompson and clarke. He was held off the ball when thompson coughed it up and no free was awarded.
I know there was and is a lot of frees that go each way in games, and i know that geelong got a few "iffy" ones (kingsley goal) last night. but these three decisions were involved either dirrectly or indirectly with stkilda goals, ruining the natural coarse of the game.

I honestly think we were the better team on the night, we had them beat all ends up going into the last quarter and i am convinced that if it wasnt a grand final we would have won. We managed to lose to the game, it wasnt about them winning, we stopped in the last qtr.

From when we started chipping it around with 2 mins left in the 3rd qtr, i knew we were in trouble, if we had of attacked and got another goal, it would have been very hard for st kilda to come back and win.

At least from tonight we can see that they arent that much better than us considering we had our 3rd and 4th string rucks and a few other injuries, not to mention ablett and chapman not looking 100 percent fit. I just hope we will beat them in 2 weeks time, just to prove to anyone (especially robert walls who tipped us to come 16th) that we are a decent side.

No, have a look at the replay, in the cold light of day. The Saints were always going to win. Just like most of the Geelong fans sitting around me were saying all night long.

You need to get a bit of faith in your team.

Also, Sammy is not an actor. He does not play for free kicks. Nor does he whinge.

There is a lesson there for your coach and your acting captain.

All the same, the Cats put on a good show, but they need to win more than one quarter to win a game.
