You've lost three ruckmen in a short space of time because you didnt have enough money to either keep them or replace them with something better. For example you replaced Knobel with Ackland for one reason alone - because he was cheaper. You lost Heath Black.

Your VFL team is the worst in the competition - you have no depth because your cap is top-heavy and you cant afford back-up players, hence topping up with rejects like McGough.

Dont kid yourself. Hamill is a millstone around your neck, and is causing considerable cap pressure, both direct and indirect.

Yeah well, perhaps if you had of paid Tarrant more, he would have stayed as well. Instead you are now one target short in the forward line.

Fantastic team list management there !

Sh*t happens Timmy, we're used to life without Hammill, perhaps you should be as well.

You either can't read or are so hot to bag us that you go blind. Read my post again kid.

Knobel was not worth keeping - not a salary cap issue.
Same for Acland
Heath Black demnded a trade home because his wife wanted to go back. Was never an issue of money.

Ba-bow...

try and answer the question this time rather than showing your ignorance of the St. Kilda football club.

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe you're just saying they're crap because they're no longer at StKilda. But if they were not worth keeping, by defintion they were not worth recruiting. Why would you recruit them if they werent any good? Because they were all you could afford at the time under the existing cap?

We have made plenty of recruiting mistakes, in fact for a while there we were writing the book, but thats got nothing to do with Aaron Hamill.
I refer the honorable member for Thomastown to his previous statement of 5 minutes ago:

"But if they were not worth keeping, by defintion they were not worth recruiting. Why would you recruit them if they werent any good? "

Poor Call Bazza, are you saying Aaron is not good footballer.?
No he is not. A few years ago he was ok (was never a great player). The point I was making is that he, like Ackland, left because he wanted more than what he was worth. Just because StKilda paid him that money it does not automatically mean he was ever was worth that much.

Is he still playing i though he retired years ago! maybe his body retired but his mind didnt,, should be the other way around..He has been like this for years, ATTENTION St Kilda move on and find a young bloke
You are suggesting we don't honor our contracts because of injury? Did AFC pay Hudson last year? Will they pay Biglands this year? It's the same argument as Hamill.

You can make all the noise you want about Hamill and his deal, the fact is he is contracted and that contract should be honoured. He may yet be back playing, although I'd have to admit that's a pretty optomistic view as it stands now. Still, we are used to playing without him, so we can do so again. Gives another bloke a chance.

His results for last season are lot real flash, 9 games out of 23 and kicked 6 goals for the year, not what you would expect and hope for one of your highly paid players. But to miss 40 games in the last 3 years is a lot out of a career.

Oh you where right, just like your "Grant Thomas is a good coach" statements.:D

Don't worry, just think in a couple of years will be able to have another discussion about all this again!:thumbsu:
Hey Suzza. Tell my why Bryce Gibbs is in the leadership group again? How many B&F's as he won at carlton? How many BOG's has he had at carlton? How many games has he played at Carlton??? WHAT??? 0???? And he's in the leadership group??? This is the funniest thing i've ever seen from a football club. Looking forward to him getting 30 possessions plus in round 1. I'm not expecting too much from a leader now am I?

I love how Fireman and JD have shut up shop. Maybe they did find all the posts telling us how Aaron will be all good...wait and see.

Shame about Aaron....not good to see but gold for us BF posters as we might get a little respite from Fireman and JD
