Hey Suzza. Tell my why Bryce Gibbs is in the leadership group again? How many B&F's as he won at carlton? How many BOG's has he had at carlton? How many games has he played at Carlton??? WHAT??? 0???? And he's in the leadership group??? This is the funniest thing i've ever seen from a football club. Looking forward to him getting 30 possessions plus in round 1. I'm not expecting too much from a leader now am I?
;)
Fair dinkum, in order to get your Richmond supporters badge, you must have to have a lobotomy!

Why is everyone fixated on Gibbs being in the leadership group? He is one of 10 players in there, and besides a bit of talk in the locker room from time to time, I really can't see how this will be a bad thing for him.

But, as usual, another thread hijacked by someone who thinks he knows what he is talking about.

Richmond Football Club - 26 years and counting.

No he is not. A few years ago he was ok (was never a great player). The point I was making is that he, like Ackland, left because he wanted more than what he was worth. Just because StKilda paid him that money it does not automatically mean he was ever was worth that much.
:D We all know you are not a biggy for credibility, It is BF after all, but to compare Hamill and Acklands worth is way past embarrasing, StKilda paid for and got a very good tough skillful player , you only have to remember back to when your fellow Carlton supporters were commenting on how a huge amount of light emmitted from his behind. After leaving due to another stuff up by the shady customer you have just welcomed back
his skills dropped suddenly in the eyes of the lemmings.
Anyway hindsight is a marvellous thing, if anyone should know that it should be you:) but I am well aware of your modus operandi and therefore you would understand I'm not just wasting this post on you.
Hamill is still a chance to return mid season so let's all hope for his speedy recovery.:) :thumbsu:

Hamill vs Luke Livingston & Sam Cranage

Pretty even trade in hindsight, with both sides getting similar levels of output from the player/s they acquired

(Pity Hamill has never been able to come close to delivering after the huge potential he showed at the Blues)

You have a very short memory.
I remember being ridiculously angry when I found out Hamill left and waited for him to pick the competition up by the scruff of the neck and destroy teams in the fashion he showed glimpses of at Carlton ... and waited ... and waited ... and waited

no short memory here JD. it is truly quite a shame his career took such a slide due to injuries and whatever else after he left.

I was amazed carlton even got that much for him. Considering that he wanted to go to the saints and the saints had the first pick in the PSD, all the Saints had to do was bend us over the barrel. just showed how incompetent those at St Kilda were at the time.

. . . and could someone please post the details of Aaron's contract since many here have obviously read it.
Going by that comment JD, you have obviously seen the high price contracts that Elliot gave out at Carlton since you bring them up in many Carlton Threads. Have you actually read somebody like Kouta's contract?

The only amounts I have mentioned as fact are those that are on the record (i.e. Williams )

Firey I think you have been playing with your hose a bit too much. When did I ever compare Ackland to Hammil AS PLAYERS? I compared their situation as you said that Ackland left StK cause he wanted more than what he was worth and I said Hammil did the same at Carlton. Is that not true? Comparing their skills and toughness is what YOU would call "deflection"... No??? Further, please confirm with me that StKilda did NOT pay too much for Hammil. I'd love to hear your (or JD's spin) on it. And please spare me the spiel on credibility otherwise I can refer you to some of your photoshop work from the past

You say his skills disappeared when he left Carlton? When was he a particularly skilful player? The guy has never been able to kick for goal to save his life and connecting to a drop punt is a mini achievement for him... He has always been hard at the ball and the player (particularly the latter) and THAT is his biggest asset, as it turns out now, liability. But I agree, if his final against Melbourne is anything to go by, lets hope he returns (again) cause he has a lot to offer the footballing world (other than StKilda) :) :thumbsu:

That's the point Hamill was worth the money, why do you think your fellow Lemmings were bitching and moaning when he left??? Ackland has already proven he is not worth what he has asked, simple really, I don't wonder why you can't grap this (mono brow?):p We paid the right amount, who can foretell injury, the guy is a class footballer.

I'll repeat myself once more for you Bazza, but it's wearing thin  When he was at Carlton the sun shone from his backside then all of a sudden as soon as he left your cheating rabble his skills suddenly dissapeared as if by magic :D
You really are dumb bitter lot but your funny :) :thumbsu:

I'll miss watching hamill.

He would always be coming off a 6 week lay off, fired up like a raging bull, first 2 mins try too hard being the 'tuff' guy he is, run straight at the man, hurt his knee and spend the rest of the match on the bench with a confused look on his face.

Whenever he would play stkilda were effectively playing with a 3 man bench.

Sorry, when exactly was the "hard man" worth the $400k odd he was asking for?? When has a flanker sized key position forward who averages 0.85 goals a game and about twice as many possesions worth that much? And did you personally go around asking all the lemmings on their thoughts when he left or is that the general vibe you get? So again, please confirm whether Hammil has proven that he is worth what he asked and got for (unlike Ackland)? I dont give a ******** about hindsight or any other deflections you use, simple question: has he EVER been worth the money he has been paid?

For the record, Hammil has never been a class footballer but thankfully for StKilda he's a class clubman. What more could any club ask for? A faithful servant, patting the boys on the back after the game and skinning the club for years.

Mono-brow?? Great call... Sounds a lot like mono-flag.

Collingwood knew Hamill was gone, hence the reason to delist Jason Cloke. Clokey struggled most weeks but when he played on Hamill he destroyed him. Only difference between the two was Hamill could kick. Careers very similar really, both looked good for a few years and then faded away to be not much.

Difference is we only gave up a second round pick and cut out losses.

As for his girlfreind is she Aunt Bunny? (see Eddie Murphy stand-up).
