It seems that Hamill has had enough at the Blues and is set to accept a lucrative offer from the Swans. Allan also is looking at several offers as well.

Hamill is GAWN, Allan off to the Pies for a Rocca not S but A, Porter too is GAWN, Bradley is going to retire, Backwell is going to Brisbane.

Big Jack will sack Brittain by Round 14 when the Blues are 2-12 and Sticks will take over the reigns.

Apparently Hamill is as good as gone to Sydney, Carlton just can't fit in all the players under the cap.

Poor blues, there's a tear in my eye.

"Carlton don't rebuild"

"Carlton never trade away their good players"

"Carlton players never walk out on their club"

suffer while all your stars walk out in disgust. Suffer while your hapless administrators sweat over the salary cap (not like the good old chequebook premiership days is it now ?)

In the end Carlton - just SUFFER

love it

They are turning us into a mockery! We are embarrassing ourselves and destroying our name. If we lose Hamill to Sydney (and we won't get anything for him cos he's uncontracted) then we are a disgrace. Never in the past have we lost a good player, we will not be starting that trend now! However, his cretin of a manager, who is trying to get himself more money, not Hamill, is set of Aaaronleaving Carlton. How are we supposed to fight idiots like that. These managers are ruining the game.
The Allan to Collingwood rumour is crap and it seems that the Backwell/Massie for Bradshaw trade is just rubbish too. But I think Backwell may leave because from the mouth of the man himself he is not getting enough opportunities because of bloody Hulme, who despite his crapness they persist with him.
I would welcome Bradshaw though, he'd be perfect alongside our fowards (if we manage to keep them).

Radio news last night said Hamill wanted to be closer to home as he is an ACT boy...if on the off chance the deal went ahead it was indicated Carlton,Brisbane and the Swans would be involved..Backwell and Swans 2nd pick to Brisbane and Bradshaw and Bolton or Saddington to Carlton.

you can forget Bolton or Saddington Sydney will trade neither.

Let's not forget if anything happens it's because carlton has a Salary cap problem, so they can't really take on any good players can they.

But it won't happen, there's no news on it today.

If hamill does go to the Swannies and he brings some consistency to his game, you could just about chalk them down for a top five finish, now. O'lochlin (spell?) and Hamill would be very good in the forward fifty, with Goodesy at CHF. Very good midfield, defence may be the weakness. What do you reckon BSA?

Cheers.

Absolutely

I reckon he would be a huge coup for us - Can't wait to get him up here.

Could be the best bit of recruiting we have done in a long time.

If guys like Jason Ball and Ryan Fitzgerald get back some fitness over the off-season, and Hammill slots into a Half foward flank type role then our forward lines would look something like :

FF : Ahmat - Goodes - Ball (rotate with Stafford thru ruck)

HF : Hamill - Fitzgerald - O'Loughlin

You are right though, the backs are a bit of a problem.

Dunkley and Luff are getting old, Warfe and Seymour have probably reached their full potential, Schauble has been great this year but going to hard for the guy to be at that level again next season, Jared Crouch and Ben Matthews have both been very good for us and I am hoping they go on with it again next season.

There don't seemm to be very ready-made quality defenders around at the moment so we will just have to go on with what we've got which is pretty good really - remember we were 4th in points conceded this season, pretty good for a team that won 10 games and finished 10th.

cheers

BSA

Or how about some creative thinking. O'Loughlin is taller than he looks and has excellent pace, so play him at full forward. You could then get Goodes, who is very mobile and a very good mark, to play in defence (although Goodes should add a bit of muscle over summer)...you could almost have Goodes doing a Jakovich in that he becomes a de facto quarterback (ie he sets up the play). It's similar to what Matthews did with Justin Leppitsch...took an erratic forward and turned him into an All-Australian defender.

BSA...

you've also got another explosive forward in Paul Williams to slot into that forward 6...

pretty exciting to watch forward pack sydney seems to be building...

Good thinking Shins

However O'Loughlin is on record as saying he does not want to play FF, as good as he is there he personally feels that he is better further up the ground where he has space to run into and can be on the ball more.

Thats why I have put him on a HF flank and don't be too surprised to see him in more of those kinds of positions next season.

Goodes is very tall, has a great reach and surprisingly strong hands - potentially a champion CHF and I hope to see him holding that one down next season too.

Having Hammill AND Williams is going to great - like Mr Rotch said - its going to hard to find a place for all the talent.

Which is a great position to be in - hopefully

And the award for best club man for Carlton goes to.............

"DAVID ALLISON"

Wouldn't old Jack be ready to punch his lights out.

I'm not sure why Daniel Bradshaw's name is being bandied around here as possible trade bait, as he's just signed a three year contract with the Brisbane Lions.

Carlton will keep all their good players. They'll take a leaf out of Essendon's book and rort the salary cap regardless of whether they get caught. Elliot will consider it to be a 'legitimate business decision'.

That said, isn't Koutoufidamimdes under enourmous pressure now, with his huge contract? If he can't recapture his season 2000 form he will once again become the most maligned player at Optus Oval...

lol, I hope they all go, sucked in carlscum ! they will be crap next year, kouta the girl has had his one good year (he has 1 good year in every 5 or6 years) lets hope hamill goes and allan and massie and backwell, well they can always draft more old players which they are known for ! lol, oreilly, mansfield - what a waste !! i wonder what fatso the president is saying, sucked in carlscum !!!!!!!!!!
p.s- revenge was sweet in the prelim !!
