Hamill out for rest of the year

Just watching the news here in Canberra, and a story came up saying Hamill's knee has flared up again and is gone for the year...

Loved the way he plays and was gut when he left the blues.
But surely now his time is up and for his and your clubs sake should call it a day.
A victim of his own intensity.
Gotta agree with this, he's played so little footy over the past couple of seasons I doubt he'd have a huge impact on game day anymore anyway! Stick with the G-Train, Riewoldt and Kosi (when fit) structure. Hamill to retire.

Are we allowed to renegotiate a contract with him? He seems desperate to get out on the ground, what if we gave him next year at a vastly slashed amount, say 100k.

I think Aaron would recognise he has taken a lot from the club and returned little. Give him the oppurtunity to play one more year to repay the club and supporters. Won't happen, but it would be a great gesture from him.
