I thought he'd just made a mistake at first, then the true horror was revealed when he kept doing it.
I'm pretty sure that today isn't the first time he's done it, it was just more noticeable with Elliott playing really well.

In the St Kilda/West Coast game, 'Roberts' got a touch of the football. Occasionally commentators get names wrong (Hamish more than most) but how do you call a name that isn't on the list of either club?

When he made the 'Kasparov' reference about Pendlebury's decision-making you just knew he'd googled "good chess player" before the game.

There should be a strict rule for all commentators - no use of player nicknames!
As much as Hammer and the other commentators would want them to, the players are not their mates - and neither are we (the audience) for that matter.
