Given that he hosts GameDay on Sunday, and he seems to have the lead play-by-play role on the games that he does, I fear they're positioning him to almost be the next Bruce McAvaney (with Basil Zempilas being his Dennis Cometti).

I agree that they are attempting that. But the outcome has been atrocious, and actually getting worse. So I don't know whether they would go through with it.

I'm only one person so they couldn't care less. But they have one less person watching the AFL coverage. I'm not going to the game tomorrow so radio commentary will do.
