Hampson for CHF?

Thing that worries me, is that most of us who are into our footy learnt to catch the damn thing between the ages of 5 to about 12 years old. I've always noticed that the kids who never really learnt to mark properly when they were youngsters, always struggled for the rest of their careers.
Hoping like hell that big Hammer can prove me wrong.

He gets his hands to the ball so often, either out in front on a lead (not many can go with him) or over head (very few match him in the air), but then he spills it more often than not.

Drops too many marks for a ruckman let alone a CHF.

To me a CHF needs to be a "natural footballer" in that they read the game well, make decisions quickly, strong marks, quick leads.........Fev is the only guy who fits the bill but wouldn't be able to run all day doing it.

Clokey has looked very good thus far in the role and will surprise a lot of people this year IMO.

Hammer hasn't convinced me yet he can turn his massive potential into quality AFL output.........but I like everyone else hope he can.

Drops more marks than Iron Mike ever dropped opponents, but he has almost unparalleled athleticism for a 200cm man, and is a long-term project. I say play him in the ruck resting forward in the Twos, and hopefully in the next 2 or so years the penny will drop and all of a sudden he'll start taking more marks than he drops. By which time, if you factor in his almost unparalleled athleticism, he could be a star and virtually impossible to match up on.

It's great we have a talent like this in the bank. Fingers crossed he makes it cause the upside wil be enormous if that happens.

We surely can't keep all of Warnok, Hamma, Kreuzer, Cloke and Jacobs. If Cloke makes it as a CHF and warnok, hamma and kruz all come on as execpted, in 2-3 years all 3 will have the ability to play first ruck !!! Thats including a solid back up in jacobs!!!!

I have said it before and i'll say it again, we need to pump hamma up and get his value as high as we can...... Then trade him to the GC (his home town) with our first pick(22 or so) for pick 3 or 5. The GC would get a stiffy over an athlectic, young, local ruck that could give them 10 years of service......

Leaving us with Warnok and Kruz in the ruck, jacobs back up and pick 3 to adress any need we desire...

Does anyone argee???

No, I dont share your views on this one!!

I not sure Cloke will be around in 3 years, although I like him at CHF this year.

As for the rucks I would love it if Warnock and Hammer shared the ruck duties and Kreuze became the player that can play on ball and up front, the role that the sniper 'Clarko' has in mind for the one and only Buddy!

Only I hope Kreuze is better.

Jacobs will be either back up ruck or unfortunately gawn!
