Hmm I think Aisake O'Halpin (once he recovers from his own operation) is another option in the ruck, heck we might as well do it, I mean clearly Cain Hackland doesn't cut the mustard ..

We are F*cked if this is true. Walker Fisher Hampson all out. :(

Relax and take a deep breath...

Bower showed a bit yesterday so he can cover Walker's run off half back.

Edwards also showed a bit yesterday to cover Fisher's absence.

I thought Kreuzer in the ruck was the turning point in the game. His second, third and fourth efforts show he is ready to have a crack at least.

Whilst injuries are never ideal, it's not all doom and gloom guys...

Exactly. Injuries provide opportunity for others to step up. This will only improve our depth in the long term. :)

Come to think of it, we're not playing teams with especially dominant ruckman in the first 6 rounds, sept for a few fairly good ones like Steven King, Jeff White and David Hille. We may be alright if our midfield can keep the posession.

We're playing against St.Kilda in round two who have King and Gardiner for rucks. Definately want to have our rest ruck options in Kreuzer and Hampson out there for that game.

So we're all convinced that the sky is falling because one bloke comes in, drops a bombshell (without a source, mind you) and then pisses off never to be seen again?

Thanks for the backup Bluegal, you are quite correct. The latest is that the op was this morning and it went well, maybe be 3-4 weeks.

I don't believe it. Not that I'm in shock, but I genuinely don't believe it.

Totti, what is your source?

I was at the game yesterday and Hammo was on the ground after half time so I can't, and don't believe this.

I was there J and he definately didnt get a run from mid way in the 2nd qtr

No probs mate.

What exactly is the prob? Medial?

I would say the most likely situation is he had a partial cruciate tear or damaged another ligament, and he's had an arthroscopy. You are on crutches for a couple of weeks and he should be back playing in a month or 2.

That's what I've got to look forward to in a couple of weeks

I doubt and pray it wasnt a partial cruciate tear as both of those are bone to bone ligaments so they have no way of regenerating... and after a knee reco myself last June I don't want to see Hammo missing for the 08 season! I hope it was just a bad grade 1 medial/lateral or a medium grade 2 which would mean an op to assist the natural healing and should only be 4-6 weeks...

bluebear can you confirm what I just said being the resident medical expert!?

lol. I think your problem is you seem obsessed with flocking from board to board, posting your Mock-Concern efforts under player injury threads. It's kinda morbid and a little sad. :)[/quote

You so full of shit Parrott.

Why don't you give me some examples of this? I certainly showed no mock concern in this thread that i suppossedly flocked to. Please provide me with all of the links proving this otherwise don't make up lies.

I think it is sad that you constantly accuse people of this, especially people like myself who don't even make "good will" comments when players go down injured.

I also find it quite strange that you think you know when people are being sincere or not. Do you have some experience in posting mock concerns for injured players?
