To all you Blues' people,

I keep reading that Carlton needs a ruckman to help Kreuzer while he develops.
But where is this young guy at?

Is Hampson going to develop into a very goood ruckman too?
 
Hampson is a late bloomer, if i'm correct he only started playing AFL 2 years before he was drafted. So he'll take a bit more time.

Still do need another ruckman for Kreuzer, Cloke isn't tall enough to match players like Cox and Sandilands. Warnock would be ideal since he's young, very tall and done his apprentiship under Sandilands.

Hampson will improve in time, we signed him on for a further 3 years so he can't be shipped off to G17 as some suggest that we'll lose him.
 
bg23 is right.. hamer will be around here for a while his a long term project and once his body stops growing(which apprently it has 202cms now) a little hard work in the gym and more game time we will have a very good mobile ruckmen... and his parents have also moved to melbourne so the GC can bugger off if they think they can poach him

I think the idea is that Kreuzer is seen as too valuable to wreck his body bashing and crashing in the ruck.

In the longer term we hope that Kreuzer will play a mobile CHF/winger much in the mould of Riewoldt and Richo.

Warnock and Hampson to carry the ruck load. Cloke if he is lucky will get a gig up forward as a dual set-up with Fev.:thumbsu:
 
Getting Warnock puts competition on the ruckmen at the club. WIth Cloke, Kreuzer, Hampson and hopefully Robbie all vying for ruck spots next year, they'll be under pressure to perform at 100%. We need that to fast track development.

At the moment, i see our ruck combination 2010> as Warnock and Kreuzer...but Hampson could very well prove to be a very good ruckman, and better than the both of them. He is incredibly quick, has a massive jump, 200+cm, and is young...he just needs to adjust to AFL.

Competition for a spot is a healthy thing for a footy club.

2 years time .....rucks warnock and hampson ......kreuzer will be playing forward or hampson being from the gold coast might head home and play for gc17 and carlton get another top ten pick

His parents have made his decision for him by relocating down to Melbourne. Now all of his friends and the more important members of his family are in Melbourne.

He is a long term project with a couple more years in the ants before making the step upto the AFL after only being in the game for a couple of years.

Kreuzer is also going to be used sparingly over the next couple of years as well to let him develop properly without getting the shit knocked out of him ala Livo.

I see Cloke being used as a rotating ruckman as playing up front just to give us depth and another target up front.

Warnock has already been in the system as a second stringer for the last couple of years and is a lot further along than our current up and coming rucks so he will fit right in.

A few tatts and a dirty big mo and he'll turnout to be a good ruckman...trust me

PS I do not want warnock .... trust me he has got a lot of people bluffed ... ive seen a lot of this bloke and will be a lumbering barry battler at the elite level and we will be paying him as much as an elite type ...so pass thanks for me.....

I really like Hampson, I heard he is like 2nd fasted at the club in the 20 meter sprint. (I could very well be wrong) But he was pick 19 and is super athletic. However if we get warnock as a no1 ruck and he turns out to be a gun...... surely GC17 will be looking for a super athletic ruckmen coming into his 4th year and will have plenty of high picks we can milk them for. (cos were not rubbish like freo)

I don't rate kruzzzzz at a fulltime forward, his motor will be too big, you wouldn't play cox forward.
