Seriously, this guy might not be the best player around the ground in general play, but his tap work at the stoppages is elite. I don't throw that word around lightly, on tap work alone he would be one of the best few in the AFL. I haven't checked the stats but the amount of times I saw him do clean taps to our players advantage was just ridiculous. The mids didn't make the most of every one of them but I saw a number go directly down to our mids for simple take aways. He is the best tap ruckman I have seen in Richmond colours for a long, long time.

If we can get him to just be a reasonable contributor around the ground, he needs to take more contested marks and drift forward for the odd goal, we will have a gun ruck. Great pick up and will be worth it if he can continue to improve.

Yep outstanding. Hopefully it gives him some confidence to improve his around the ground game.

Got better as the night went on I thought

Had a great game. Started a little slowly but worked into the game well. That last quarter he was on a mission and I actually thought he was pretty good around the ground too.

His ruckwork was excellent and it will get better as our mids read his play. He was agile around the ground, especially in the last. Good pickup !

Yep, late in the game his tap work was amazing. Saw a few that went straight down to Lids who got it straight into our forward which resulted in us taking the lead. Can't wait to see how we go with Maric and Hampson in a couple months. :thumbsu:

Admittedly I'd had a few but all I can remember from centre bounces was McDonalds players getting silver service and waltzing out of the middle with gay abandon.

:D:p amazing sponsorship opp for them....

I'll reserve my judgement at the moment. Angus Graham looked good in the ruck at one stage (18+ hit outs per game average)

Huge tick for Shaun & for the recruiting staff who got him here, did exactly what he was recruited for and after he smashes Warnock & Kreuzer next game just watch his confidence soar!
Love to Meagan as well.

He gave our mids pretty good service, pity we couldn't capitalise , with that run of clearances in the last we should have seized the day, we didn't have a forward that wanted to own it, pretty pleased with what I saw. Will improve his around the ground play as his confidence builds as he s got some tools,
Tell me what did he play on in the last when he marked strt in front , was it touched or something.

I was disappointed in his attack at the centre bounce. Can't remember him jumping once in the ruck contests. Allowed Nichols to jump while he stayed on his feet pretty much every time

I was disappointed ...... Game in balance and our is ruckman walking back to the centre with his head down looking like defeated man.
His actual ruck work has never been questioned..... It's the rest of his game that is garbage.

Good effort first up in the ruck but didn't have a lot of impact outside that. I will wait and see how he goes against better opposition though before I give him the big tick.

Maybe he was just tired as he really hasn't had to carry the load himself like sat night before?

You were disappointed in his game before the first bounce .

And won almost every one because Nicholls kept jumping too early.

He plays to his strength, he can't jump as high as the athletically talented Nicholls so he edged him out with body work in the bounce.

He just solo-rucked (Griff was a good back-up but was subbed) a game with heaps of stoppages. I saw nothing else wrong from his game, when he got it, he disposed of it well.

You were disappointed in his game before the first bounce .

And he continues to dish out the same...... No presence at all once the ruck duties are finished. Not because he is lazy or not trying but because he hadn't got a clue.
