Claremont had a bye the week before. They did not want Neates to miss two games in a row. Makes perfect sense IMO.

EDIT: Yes, they did. Point is still half-valid though. A lot of the time emergencies are based on who the Eagles want to miss a game. Doesn't always necessarily reflect the pecking order. Swan Districs playing in Manjimup could have had something to do with it.
