I am, on the whole, indifferent about the interstate teams. They are far enough away that I don't have feuds with any of their supporters.

Frankly I'd rather go to an all-Victorian clash against someone I really despise like Carlton or Collingwood.

The two exceptions are:

Port: South Australia's Collingwood. A more loathesome combination is impossible to think about. They are the devil incarnate.

Brisbane: Second favourite team because I hope they eventually send the Broncos broke. I hate Rugby League even more than I hate Carlton, Collingwood or Port.

But really there are no "interstate" teams. This is a NATIONAL competition, much as you Vics can't seem to understand that.

In the NBL I don't ever hear anyone referring to the "interstate" teams. How about the NSL? Any "interstate" teams there?
If one has to differentiate between teams, one could say "non-Victorian teams, non South Australian teams, non Western Australian teams". I suppose it's because there are just toooo many Victorian teams in the AFL.

And really what a boring competition it would be if we didnt have all the Vic sides playing, in fact in the real world of football there wouldnt have been a GF last year or the year before just a substitute one and all the Vics would know that it was just that, the day that two teams other than having one Vic side in the Final well that will be the day I dont want to see, we would just have to go to the MCG and have a big party as the GF would have to be played somewhere else maybe Optus oval or maybe you could have it in your home town, maybe West Coast where they could do the mexican wave or maybe Adelaide where no one else except the people from Adelaide would go, or Sydney where they would be assured of the win or at least have to be or we would see an empty stadium by half time, or to make it fair perhaps you could play at Manuka Oval up in Canberra and have the pollies turn up and take the best seats, yes that will be the day I give up going to the Football.

No, I love it when the 'interstate' teams beat Adelaide. The only time I want the Camrys to win is if it helps Port's ladder position, but then only by a small margin and sustaining lots of injuries.
