after anzac day last year when i was surprised at our win, i havent gone against them. been hard some weeks though - ive only got 2 so far this week.

Well that's nonsense.

Tipping and supporting are not the same thing. One is done with the head ... and the other with the heart.

Having said that, I'm pleased to say I tipped us on Nick's tipping contest. I gave the margin as 7 points ... and I was looking pretty good for much of the last quarter. Not to worry. I'll settle for a 5 point win.

The upset wasn't a hard one to predict.

I also tipped the Richmond win over Essendon, so I'm walking on water this week.

I never tip against us, which probably isn't a terribly smart thing to do if I want to win tipping.

But I figure we'll win more games than we lose.

Exactly.

Even if I lose a tip here and there for tipping Collingwood, at least I retain my pride. A tipping contest is only about money, I value my club loyalty more than money.

Tipping against Collingwood is immoral.

I always tip us no matter what. Even the year that we won the wooden spoon a couple of years ago, I tipped the Pies every week.

That is a rule that I have when I do any footy tipping!

I tipped us for 2 reasons
a) cause i always do
b) more importantly, i knew we could win. its the whole backs against the wall, everyone writing us off mentality that we thrive on. Last years qualifying final was no different.

I was quite confident before the game, as I don't think Adelaide has much of a forward line, we were advantaged that Smart didn't play, we play well over at AAMI stadium, and of course we were coming off 3 losses. So the result didn't surprise me much at all, except that we had to wait for a kick after the siren - I certainly didn't expect it to come down to that! But that just made it all the sweeter!
