Movie Hangover 2

First one was way better, as everyone has been saying, but the second still gave me regular laughs. Todd Phillips has said that he is interested in a third movie, and that that would end the series.

Yes it's identical to the first one, it's also deliberate.
Even from the start, Phil on phone to Doug's wife (can't remember her name), then back in time, then eventually back to that scene again, Stu figures it out, stops the phone call etc.

I personally thought it was pretty decent, not as good as the first obviously but certainly some humourous bits thrown in.

Agree with most.

Good movie, not as good as the 1st but plenty of laughs to be had. Definitely worth seeing if you were a fan of the original - but expect much of the same.

I went in with pretty low expectations, because really what can you expect with a sequel to the hangover? It was always going to be the exact same plot, just in a different location. So you knew what would be the general idea of it. It's not as good as everybody made it out to be. It's okay, it had it's moments but the original is easily the better movie, and by a pretty long way.

Something that probably pissed me off, was Alan while funny, isn't as funny as everybody in the cinema I saw it at made him out to be. From the minute he was on screen people pissed themselves, and every word he spoke, you'd think was one of the funniest jokes ever told. Even doing nothing, people were in hysterics.

I really hope there isn't a third.

The Tyson cameo was shithouse IMO. Knowing he was back to be in the movie somehow, I was waiting for it. When it got back to the wedding it came to mind that Alans wedding gift had 'no expense spared' so I pieced it together to be the Tyson cameo, and he butchered a song. Meh.


Honestly, wouldn't really rate it more than 5/10. It's much of the same, and has a few laughs here and there. It was nothing special. Too much ****, the photos at the end weren't as funny as the ones in the original either IMO.

Some good laughs but ultimately most of the gags were sign posted because they'd already done them in the 1st movie. So it liked the element of surprise which made the first one great.

Perhaps an idea for a third would be to have a cross over with 'Bridesmaids' which is considered to be a female version of 'Hangover'. 'Bridesmaids' was a success so a sequel is being considered. Perhaps have Alan do a cameo in the 'Bridesmaids' sequel who sparks a love interest with one of the female stars (thinking Megan), setting up a joint sequel revolving Alan's wedding. Atleast it would be a bit different from the formula set in Hangover 1 and 2.

I don’t know if any descent copies would be out yet. I’d imagine there would only be cam copies available at the moment. And they suck.

I guess you could always just Google “hangover 2’ with torrent or bit torrent at the end and have a look

Saw it last night, and really enjoyed it.
Maybe not as many laugh out loud moments as the 1st one, but enjoyed it nonetheless.

Saw it Saturday night, not as good as the first one. I couldn't put my finger on why at first. Location was part of it, Vegas is just made for this sort of bender, but this thread made me realise that the surprise element was missing. I guess that is why Stew's ladyboy romance was the funniest part of the whole thing, because it was the only surprise.

Still, it was worthwhile and the characters are great.
