If you had had the no 2 pick, who would you have taken?

Hansen for mine. Can play at both ends, courageous and a born leader.

Havn't seen them enough to comment yet, but what i've heard is Gumby can play both ends quite well, as can Hansen.

both should be good players in the future.

Both will be good no doubt.

Also I like Hansen's kicking style, booming kick.

Tough choice for the recruiting guru's without a doubt.

If I was Essendon I would have went Selwood. Gibbs wasnt an option so the next best midfielder on offer (if not better than Gibbs) was Selwood. We didnt need another KPP in my opinion. And from what Ive seen of Selwood he is pretty damn impressive.

Selwood does look good but KPP don't grow on trees, so Essendon probably made the right call IMO.

Have to remember Geelong were getting Hawkins as a F/S. If this wasn't the case and both Gumby and Selwood were available at their first pick, I have no doubts they would have gone with the Gumby.

we needs midfielders no doubt, but our KPP's are getting on and we also need to fix it before it becomes a major problem, why not fix it in the best KPP draft for some time.

Hansen has impressed me he's a strong mark and massive kick.

Yeah ya probably right, but hopefully the likes of Lloyd and Lucas still have at least 2-3 years in them. Maybe Hanson would have been the better option, considering he's a more natural CHB. Because Im sure both Fletcher and Michael will be gone b4 Lloyd and Lucas.

Watched Hansen in the flesh yesterday pretty carefully, really like the look of him. Hes keen, nice size and looks like a footballer. He'll be one hell of a player.

I like Gumby too, but havent seen him at AFL level yet.

Gumbleton on the basis we picked him over hansen when we really needed Hansen's type more. Both will be guns no doubt though, but when i saw Gumbleton at the champs i wanted him.

Seen both of them play, Hanson would be it, plays CHB/CHF
although Gumby is a better contested mark, i would go hanson..just

but i would pick Leuenberg over both of them

YEah, you wouldve taken Luenburguer, only because you have one of the worst ruck divisions in about 3 decades of the AFL
At least try and get his name right if you want to come out with your typical crap.

Leuenberger is a gun and your pettyness about Carlton considering the Berger ahead of Hansen takes away from this fact. We would have drafted Hampson and Renouf if Hughes was as cynical as yourself.
