Daniher in the past 2 years: 45 goals in 29 games
Carlisle: 37 in 27.

Form this season says Daniher is playing better, Daniher seems to get a lot more easier marks i50 than Carlisle wheher that be because Daniher gets 1on 1s more often or the deiivery to Carlisle is crap all the time I don't know.
 
The only areas that Jake has Joe covered in are:

Contested Marks - Daniher has more so far this year, but Jake will run him down as the season goes on. Clunks em with the best of em.
Endurance - Has a slightly bigger tank than Joey, more years in the system will do this.
Strength - Again, more years in the system to build his frame.

Joe is just such a natural. I was really scared in his first two seasons with his set shot accuracy, now I feel strangely confident any time he is lining up (Cheers Lloydo)

I think the current Richmond and North squads are similar to us that they'll peak somewhere between 3rd and 6th and then fall away. So in my eyes the race is on to quickly rebuild. I think we can be a good side in the peak of Daniher, Heppell and Z. Merrett's career and the back end of Hurley, Hooker, Colyer, Zaharakis and Carlise's careers.

What are your thoughts on this? Should we keep tweeking this list or prune it right back?

Hope I'm not intruding on your board. Essendon, Richmond, North all did what they had to do over the years the expansion clubs took all the top talent. Depending on how things fall 4th-8th teams with acceptable win/loss ratio's . Maintained members , stayed competitive , upgraded facilities etc. They did it by filling gaps with mature age picks, trading bit players for bit players so on. I think their boards all realistically knew it would be very hard to win a premiership with all the elite young talent really locked away when they needed to not rebuild but upgrade their player base. Not saying they couldn't get some elite talent but not 3-4 players per year type stuff all those lists probably needed.(or in GWS case 5-8 elite calibre per year). Hate to say this but Collingwood jumped the gun and started their pruning a few years back got some good access to good numbers of kids in the last few years by trading out quality senior players. The benefit for both Essendon and Richmond is the bulk of their good player base is still young and a redevelopment of that list would still leave some really good young talent in the right age brachet for a more serious assault over the next 3-4. North's very top heavy age wise , it's likely to be a big fall back to earth at some point.
 
Daniher also wants to take a mark and have a shot at goal rather than shitting his pants at the thought which is pretty important for a key forward.
 
I came from overseas last year to watch some footy. Saw Rd 17- collingwood and Rd 18 - bulldogs. Carlisle had 19 marks and 4 goals in the first game and 8 goals in the second.
I don't know if its injury or attitude holding back this season but make no mistake when this boy is on he is very very good.
He is still young like Daniher they are both still learning the craft.

Giles - possibly traded/delisted pending who comes in.

Aylett - possibly delisted.

Only half of these need to be turned over and that's nothing drastic as likely to be a few retirements. Should also free up some cash to chase some free agents like Dangerfield and leuenberger.

Should be fairly easy decisions I'd think.

The hard decisions aren't "should we get rid of these guys who add nothing whatsoever to the list?".The hard decisions are whether we should settle for simply that or look beyond getting rid of the people with no future.
