Looks like Rohan Connolly is going to turn the spotlight onto our list management.

Think the clubs needs to be put under this pressure because the lack of criticism has been alarming.

I'm coming around to the criticism that guys like Myers, Zaka and even Hibbo are copping at the moment

I don't think the trouble is the list management as much as it is the selection of the side. We've been woeful at the selection table for as long as we've been shit.

Possibly unless he can improve the skill execution of the spuds we have playing for us.

Then again, i am not sure how much a senior coach can do in that regard if the players dont have the ability.

We have Lloyd teaching Carlise and Daniher how to kick accurately for goal and its not working

Watson's elite. Heppell's elite, or on his way. Hooker's an elite defender. Hurley's potentially on his way. Daniher's on his way to an elite forward.

Zaharakis is not elite, nor on his way. Yes I know you won't have a list full of elite players. But he's vastly overrated by our fans.

I actually scoffed and laughed at reading this.

Go to footy wire and look at some of the numbers he has posted (2 to 4 goal 30+ possession games).

I don't know what it is about Zaharakis, whether supporters just think he is soft because he has a bit of a pretty boy persona or whether he disappoints because they expect him to be a top 20 player in the comp.

I don't believe that he has the physicality to be a truly elite player. He is, however, a really good footballer capable of excellent games who is one of our most important players. He has his ups and down but in 10 game runs when he has been physically and mentally 'right' in the last 3 years his footy has been really good.

Agree. Another one of our outside guys that is hugely overrated.

He has age on his side so he stays and can chalk up a good career as an outside running mid that can hit the scoreboard hopefully.

Not so much performance for Myers, more his tradability.

Zaka is a front runner who needs to run just as hard defensively as he does offensively.

Heppell is not elite, not for his.position. Not unless he can somehow become a damaging kick.

Joe maybe is he can kick straight.

Watson and Hooker yes.

Who cares about statistics?

He doesn't run hard enough. His disposal is not good enough. He has no defensive side to his game whatsoever, and he's not damaging enough offensively enough to get away with that.

I don't expect him to be top 20. But in his 7th year I expect an element of defensive run.

Why is it Zaharakis' responsibility to do all of the running for the midfield.

Watson, Heppell, Stanton, Cooney, Chapman, Howlett and Colyer are all just as guilty as he is of defensive running. Do they get exceptions because they can't run or are too small to run defensively?

Heppell may just be the most overrated player in the AFL for the aggregate of what he does (when you factor in the poor quality of his disposal, his speed and total lack of defensive output).
