Attard going down with a knee injury didnt help, from the sounds of a it a few of yours boys were playing injured as well

Hence unlucky
Harvey, Max and Baker were three we sorely missed.

Some B/S decisions in the 3rd quater didn't help either.

I guess that's 'unlucky'.

Jesus ...

I would of thought it was our inability to shut down th Eagles mifield
(particulary Ben Cousins) in he 2nd half that hurt us ....

Yeah some decisions didnt go our way, but the way we were playing in the first half, we should not of lost.

The game tonight was similar to our game against Essendon earlier this year.

Had you got full value for your work in the 1st quarter the game could have been over at quarter time.

Missed chances left the door open just wide enough for us to get back in it.

You didn't throw the towel in the last quarter and kept pressing - in the end it was a final centre clearance that decided the game.

Good luck for next week - may the results go your way.

Difference being that Essendon kicked MUCH straighter... If we kicked straighter we would have beaten you. Say we were 12-5 or 11-6 at half time - you never would have been let back in.... and you guys clearly wanted it more too... Good luck in the finals.... likely we won't be there.

Birss is a dud, Gilbert was outstanding on Judd, Koschitzke did some good things but got towelled by Cox, often being caught ten metres behind him and out of breath. Riewoldt kicked for goal well, but what was he thinking trying to dish to Gehrig early? Ferguson tried hard but out of his depth. Fishers were ok, Leigh has been much improved over the last season and a half.

Sorry that was my point.

In the same way your misses ultimately cost you the game tonight, our misses against the bombers cost us.

ah so when you compared tonight's game to that game you were comparing the eagles rd 11 to saints tonight not eagles rd 11 to eagles tonight... gotcha:thumbsu:

I think we need to work on goalkicking its been a major problem all year.

If saints don't make finals, all I have to say is...

their list on paper is definitely better than 8th spot

possibly my fave team to watch outside of port from a neutral perspective
