Eagles in 1992 had a remarkable goal-kicking list, totally unlike any modern platform of scoring options. Sumich 6, Matera 5, Evans 3 and Wilson 2. 16 goals between 4 players, something i'm sure will never be seen again in a Grand Final for a total of 16 goals. That amazing Sumich off the back foot left foot snap just before half time in the '92 G.F will live in my mind a long time. This year though eases the pain!!:p

Mooney 5, SJ and Chappy 4 each, Nathan 3 = 16 goals in a grand final. :) Didn't realise the Eagles only had 4 goalkickers in 1992 though.

Ahh.. all the pain

Just makes that little DVD in my collection "2007 AFL Grand Final" seem soo much better.

97 - finished on top and played Roos under lights at the G - remembering this was when the roos were the night specialists. This was the worst ever advanatge in the history of the Cats - just couldnt work out why we busted a gut for 22 odd weeks to get that junk.

This thread would have made me so angry - pre 2007 GF

Actually we finished 2nd. Equal 1st on percentage anyway. Bloody hell last round Sydney we should have smashed them!!!! Otherwise we might have been playing Brisbane at Waverly instead of ****ing North.

Aaaaaah, woulda, coulda, shoulda. :(

Yeah but the reality was we should have beaten them and didn't. You can complain all you want about the weather, and playing at the MCG, and under lights and so on, but the cold hard fact is we stuffed up big time. Wouldn't have had to worry about Adelaide if they'd got past North.
