Pointing out that this is a crap club with second raters in every nook and cranny does not mean that someone wants to stop supporting the club. It means the person is a rational observer of the second rate rubbish club Richmond remains.

You can love a girl whilst knowing she is no beauty queen. Richmond is no beauty queen. She's the fat ugly bint left on the bench and we are the gormless bloke who marries her......stuck with her for good or ill.

Going for Richmond is like going out with that ^ fat girl, you know yourself it's not ideal and you definately don't want your mates to find out!

Perhaps we really do need to look at ourselves???

Now there is much more than looks and many of the real hotties are headcases so my number one thing is
Personality- Shheeettt!! Been a pathological liar for the best part of 30 years and just keeps making the same dumbass mistakes no matter how many times you tell her.She refuses to come alomg to things like "the big dance"and seems to despise fine weather.She even stays indoors for the whole month of september habitually whilst your mates are out having a cracking time with their missus,She's no fun at all really.

Character- she burns people right before your eyes and has hardly any friends.Other girls are always picking on her and just as you build her up and hope shes about to stand up for herself she completely makes an ass of herself and those same bitches just kick sand in her face and laugh.Then shes all huff and puff about "i'll fix that bitch" blah blah and then just sulks off and trys for a new look.

Sense of humour-She gets a big tick here.Not so much from you though but your friends think she's piss funny.she's the one who gets blind at the party and really livens things up and for a bit there you're really proud to have her on your arm.Then she starts skulling yard glasses,pisses her pants and spews up all over you in front of everyone.

Financial stability/prospects- she's bought $65,000 dollar cars,driven them into the ground and sold them 18 months later for $20,000.She's constantly trying to live beyond her means trying to establish herself in South Yarra where she cannot come close to making the payments.Really she should be buying in Melton for now but she keeps going on about how she used to own half of beach rd in the 70's and can't quite let go.She's always hitting you up for cash.She's no good.

In the sack- Now this is where she lure's you.When she's in the mood she goes off like a fire cracker and truth be known has had you prematurely ejaculate on many an occasion.She's probably too much for you.Then when you think you've got a handle on it she withdraws and gives you nothing,often just rolling over and facing the wall for months at a time.You don't even consider looking at another girl but just hope she gets counselling,starts eating healthier and gets smart for a start.

You're insane.

Yeh if your one of those supporters with a heart the size of a pea, I let everyone know I support Richmond, win lose or draw, we are on the right track, it's supporters like SPOCK that are our problem, always wanting immediate success, if not sack the coach, well its the clubs that have stuck with a coach even when things look grim that have won recent flags, we have to give time for Dimmas plan to come to fruition, if at the end of that time it hasn't worked then we look for a new coach, some of you have no staying power and no idea what it is to support a club.

Am I the only one on here that can see that the main issue is that our players a playing sore and have run out of steam? This is natural with such a young playing group and I could see it coming as far back as the Dreatime match. Another full pre-season which will undoubtably be aimed at building a greater fitness base will go a long way to fixing this problem.

The reason our efficiency was so good when we were winning games is because the boys were fit, fresh and making better decisions as they could give themselves breathing space prior to execution.

We will be better after the pre-season bookmark it.

Hardwick is on the right path. Anyone who even thought we were a chance to play finals this year is kidding themselves. That was media hype - the media and the AFL WANT Richmond to play finals, but clearly, we don't have the cattle.

Blaming the coach is simply a poor excuse. If we were to go down that road, then a quick reminder of the year 2000 might help. When we were looking for a coach, NO-ONE wanted to coach us. Bomber Thomson laughed at the idea and went down the highway to Geelong. No one wants to coach at a club that sacks a coach when times are tough. If we were to "sack" Dimma - "who" would WANT to replace him ? In this day and age, we give the coach at least three years. In our case, the rebuild will be almost complete in three years and there will be no passengers.

Take a look at our list, and see how many would get a game in a top 4 side. Not many ... yet... our current coach is developing them..

always easy to point at the coach for our mistakes. IMO dimma deserves another year to see where we are really at. the coach plays %20 of the problem when the players are %80. we have injuries witch has stuffed us for the whole year and our belief we had at the start has been crushed. we are a young side with a lot of potential. we keep playing our game plan and we will get stronger. we still have 4 winnable games this season. would love to see us win em all. just got to get that belief back

1. known knowns
2. known unknowns
3. unknown unknowns

Hardwick is working on point 3, as a coach who is endeavoring to rebuild a ****ed up list should. The end.

I got the joke, but in the context of the thread, it didn't get me laughing, I just don't like fair-weather supporters(not you, as you were joking, but some of the other posters weren't), we are RICHMOND and we will be back rest assured, I agree about the wrist slashing and microwaving membership cards, I don't recall Dimma promising finals in our second year, our players are tired we have no depth so can't rest or punish players easily, until we have this we will always be up and down, but I do think we are heading in the right direction.

Dont worry about your confidence, I guarantee we wont lose this week

Totally agree mate, we are headed in the right direction and I can't see how Dimma could have done any better job than he has with what he has to put on the paddock.

Our drafting and trading is the key over the next 2-3 years. If we have 1 bad year in there we are in massive trouble.

It is a bad thread, but it stays because it's an opinion and it hasn't crossed the lines.
It's interesting. We were beaten by the 2nd placed side by 10 goals on the weekend.
Melbourne, widely considered a year or two more advanced than us in their development, were beaten by Hawthorn by the same margin.
Essendon, widely considered a far superior outfit than us by many, were beaten by 13 goals by Carlton.
I know our past 4 weeks have been bad. I am not shying away from that. But put into context with other sides around us and it's about where we are at.

Astro, if the players and the coaches aren't hurting after the last month then, honestly, we might as well forget about it.

I wasn't expecting anything more than a few competitive wins this year but if the side think that the last month is acceptable then we're looking down the barrel of another shitty thirty years.

I hope Dusty is absolutely spewing with how he and the side are performing because then I know he's got the will to change it.

(By the way, anyone trying to lay this at Hardwick's feet is drawing a very long bow. He stays until he's been given every chance to prove he is the right man to lead us out of the wilderness. He hasn't been given that opportunity yet).

All rebuilding sides are going to have bad patches no matter who they are. Tigers are just having one of those patches.

Collingwood kept Malthouse for ten years. Then he won a premiership.

To rebuild Richmond would be ten times as hard.

Malthouse also had collingwood in two other premierships. They aren't easy things to win. I would be pretty happy if richmond played off in 3-4 premierships in 10 years. Its been over 30 years since that has happened.

People make it sound like Collingwood held onto a wooden spoon coach for 10 years and did him a favour. They held onto a coach who had won two flags at the eagles and who had consistently driven the club to the finals.

I don't think you can underestimate just how bad collingwood was when Malthouse took over. Nor can you try to compare Hardwick and justify keeping him because it worked for Collingwood with Malthouse.

There are no indications at this point that Hardwick will be able to get Richmond into the finals. He is an untried coach, so he really needs to deliver tangible results. If at the end of next year, we are sitting at 5-8 wins and playing a similar brand of football, it would be very difficult to justify reappointment.

5 years under Wallace and Frawley was too long for me. Imagine we "stuck fat" and gave them 10 years. I don't think we have been impatient.

I haven't written Hardwick off, but it would be fair to say he is struggling this year. Hardwick needs to be judged on his merits.
