Bumped Hardwick's pass mark

Listened to a chat on the radio Earlier today that said how Sir Ken had changed things up and given more responsibility to assistants and listened to what the Port players had to say in terms of playing style over the off season.
... surely not??
Does this stuff happen?
Haven't you heard - the ALFPA have a new log of claims that requires all Coaches to seek feedback from all players before a game plan can be ratified to ensure no player is unreasonably disadvantage during their playing career.

I'm being sarcastic.
This is no different to what has happened at Richmond yet Sir Ken is viewed as a genius.

Why would a coach come out and bag umpires?
You'd have to be an imbecile.

Not a Hardwick supporter, but credit to him.
Some supporters should fall in line and gives the umpires a break.
Listening to some on here in the game day threads, you'd think the umpires are responsible for all 400-odd games we've lost since our last premiership.
The way I have always viewed it is an individual umpire might make one or two shockers a game. Not bad when you consider some of our players make 5 or 6 shockers a week and get the kid gloves treatment!
I'm not an umpire basher! Never will be! Important part of the game!

Share a similar view having umpired a range of sports from Footy to Basketball (accredited) to Cricket (indoor / outdoor). The only difference is I don't think AFL umpires are held accountable enough. I'm not suggesting open season, but I have never had a problem with my decisions questioned ONCE - that to me is a player's right because I've just deliberated and call to account on his/her action or inaction. I don't give repeated penalties on the one infraction so I don't expect players to give me repeated questioning of my decision either! Never had a player complain about this approach (even when I have made a bad decision) when they know how I treat it. They get it off their chest and move on usually. You need a thick skin though and it's not for everyone.
