If he pulls up ok he'll play next week. Stupid not too, hes going to have to play at Etihad eventually, Ross basically said in his presser that we want him to play.Happy he got through the game fine - was also proving to be high impact when the game mattered too. Although small, good glimpses of what to expect in the future. Will be interesting to see if we send him over east next week.
Just assumptions because Etihad's surface is literally a wet sandpit.Has it been confirmed we're resting him this week or thats just assumptions?
He definitely could if fully fit and with plenty of midfield time. Would be hard from the forward line but he probably is still capable. He will won the wafl premiership single handedly if he stays fit
rough ... would've loved to see him get peel over the line. But boy am I looking forward to having him next year! He's been pulled from the WAFL finals - wrapped in cotton wool for the season according to the AFL website article.
I like this. Less chance of re-injury, and doesn't play against Souths. Win-win!!He's been pulled from the WAFL finals - wrapped in cotton wool for the season according to the AFL website article.
Peel had to cut their playing afl listed players playing to 15 anyway, hence the mysterious 'groin soreness' to Cox and Ryan. Don't need to risk him when you have to choose 3 players to not play anyway
Actually think we will use 14 now and not 15. Can't see Peel wanting Griff, Darcy and Strada in the same team, Strada misses again which is a pity.
Cox can play from the second week on but I think you are right in that Nads will get a game as a forward this week perhaps.Possibly but our only key forward who qualified is Tabs. I reckon they might play Strnadica as a pure forward
Though Barrett's remarks on his sliding doors column were a bit snide. Trying to put some sinister spin on the reasons. It can't just simply be that the club is pulling him so that whatever wear and tear he might have is at worst minimal and make sure he can go to the pre-season and into 2018 fully amped. It's a gruelling business.....but it's Harley so something more has to added to it to give it 'spice'. Poor form Barrett boy!
HB is no doubt fundamental to any potential future success, plus he's there to play for Fremantle, he's not a Peel player by trade alone. It makes sense to me, not disappointed at all. Just grateful Harley was debuted and pleased as punch for him to be amongst it after so much time in the wilderness.
I agree , nobody know the true . As long he is ok for pre season everything will be fine. The club clearly had plans for him to play WAFL finals, which is why they tried to qualify him by sitting him in the crowd against the Cardies at Joondalup. Obviously, he didn't pull up too well after the Essendon game, so they won't risk him. Was always a bit of a baffling decision to the play him at Ethiad for his 2nd game in the seniors. Hope its nothing serious.
Based on what. Ross hinted straight after the Essendon game in the presser that that was enough for Harley even before any medical review.Obviously, he didn't pull up too well after the Essendon game, so they won't risk him. Was always a bit of a baffling decision to the play him at Ethiad for his 2nd game in the seniors. Hope its nothing serious.
"We are raising our eye brows, as we always do with all things related to Harley Bennell" - nice little way to insinuate something more sinister and throwing his off-field issues in for thought. Bloke is a peanut and is struggling for ideas to develop a piss-ant footy related opinion article which even my 8 year old has stopped reading. He's the type of bloke who faps off in the corner watching you pash your gf at the local blue light disco.Though Barrett's remarks on his sliding doors column were a bit snide.
