Of course not - maybe the Hawks just felt that at that stage they could walk on water with their player development and that their culture and structures could nurture his undoubted talent. However if a man has these sort of character flaws no club is going to be able to help him.

Or you could also suggest that they seen a kid with serious talent & thought they could help him as a footballer & as a human to get him on the right path for a quality life rather than end up where he is today.
