If the team performs well (as in '08), he will be OK to come back and regain his form in the side.
The bad regarding Harley is he has had NO match practice at all this pre-season! If the team is not dominating, this bloke will be a big liability to the team. He'll refuse to play in the 2s, as he has in the past... which is ridiculous.
Solution? He shouldn't be Captain. The day of the older captain is gone. You need younger players who will front up without requiring a substantial amount of games to get their form back... Any player (Harley incl.) should never have the opportunity to regain form in a premiership contending side like Geelong. NEVER! Flags are slim pickings as we know... Harley should have retired. We have a wealth of young blokes eager to have a crack at it. The club is taking a step backwards with Harley... not forward. His leadership can remain off the field.
