Had a shocker today and whilst he went quiet in the final quarter of a must win match, the no2 pick in his draft, and someone who has had to face unfair comparisons from the minute he was drafted, had 35 disposals and lifted in the final quarter when the game was on the line.

Sure he can play, and does some magnificent things, but then his mind wanders and he starts remonstrating with players, ...... whilst the ball is still in play.

To me it seemed like Yeo kept him more focused last year.

A lot of eagles fans crap on about his poor treatment from the umpires but he's bought most of that on himself imo.

i think Harley Reid is fed up with West Coast, wants to comeback to vic after contract expires next year (2026), can lose concentration easily when playing, said to be the greatest prospect ever is outrageous thinking back at the time but if harley was in a better team with experience around him like pies and cats he would have had a better start to his career and burst onto the scene. I am not saying that i dont think harley reid isnt great but what we have seen isnt enough in a year and a half from him to be considered future or current A grade mid whereas with Nick Daicos it only took him one year to solidify himself and considered a future A grade in the comp and currently only behind the bont. The only difference with Nick's career is he has had an experienced team around him to learn off which also raises the question what if Nick Daicos didnt join collingwood but instead north, west coast, hawthorn, adelaide, only some of the teams during 2021-23 in rebuild times what would Nick be like?

Lol, no. There is no young mid probably in recent history that has done what Harley has done as a 18-20 year old.
If he just had his current stats in a strong vic team he wouldnt be copping any of the shit he cops from media

Daicos had a whole gameplan built around getting him cheap ball off half back for most of his first 2 seasons.

Daicos would cop an insane amount of crap from the media who likes to rage-bait, which would likely be completely unjustified, as it is with Harley now.
He would still be a very good player
