Carlton, i just add 2 seconds to the last half to make it comparable to Harold Park. Obviously Menangle are trying to get the title of the best track in Australia and now it probably is but the times are not right as you point out.

Oh come on, Melton Cremo (done nothing its entire career) out of all horses nuts Perfection on Ice right on the line after she fights off the leaders doing all the work. The racing gods are against me :(

Parsonemby - leader, speed, toughness
Magical Drive - speed, leader, toughness

EDIT*

Parsonemby will start 1/10 on while Magical Drive will be juicy odds. NORMALLY one shoots back to last, that being Magical Drive while the other always sits forward BUT magical drive has won before when shes led. Going back earlier in the year she led throughout same track and distance rating 1.58. I originally figured Parsonemby was a moral even at 1.04 but tonight might see different driving tactics in this small field of 6. Colin Brown would be crazy to not take advantage of the better draw. If the barrier draws werre reversed, Parsonemby cant lose but if Magical Drive finds the front, it's going to be great value.

.... and another good idea down the tube. Colin Brown shows no iniative and drops back to last essentially giving his horse no chance, Parsonemby wins by panels. I got this from betfair forum, was funny at the time..... The only way is up - Yazz :)

Anyone see the run of Broadways best at Bendigo last night.Huge run for a first starter death seated and nearly knocked the odds on pop off.Had tipped it on insiderail so was hoping huge price.
Get on next start:D

barney

if we dare to dream tongiht gets a good run it will be unstopple could actually be the best 2 year old in australia

Redcliffe tonight

R1

Cool Jasper - Leader, speed

Going on last week, this simpily cannot lose. It's an easier race, has a better draw, will lead. Don't think anything has the ability to put pressure on it either and the pole horse who should follow it is no good. The horse has no toughness though so if someone decides to do something stupid you never know. Jack and Simon and Simon B Anvil looked good things on sat and one fell in while the other lost and the reason, no toughness!

Cool Jasper should win but don't take silly odds! 1.50 minimum

R2

Bundy or Nothin - leader, speed

Forget it went around last start. Driver blew the start not holding the leaders back then right off the track on the corner in a sprint home. Drawn to lead here and will take beating if finds the front. The last 2 times she has led, she won by 15m and 18m

Bundy or Nothin should win to but if she cant find the front shes very beatable 2.00 minimum

R3

Flying Casino - leader, speed
Street Blaze - leader, speed
Miss Symonds - speed

Interesting field. Flying Casino has led and won in good time before. After a long break, has been in market all 3 runs but broke everytime. Street Blaze could take some catching if it found the front. Miss Symonds though last start trailed the 3 wide line, pulled out four and 5 wide and swept over them running away. Front row horses are no better then what she faced last time but she wont get the same cart into the race either.

Miss Symonds but definately not under 2.00

R4

Staartika - leader, speed

Raced against far better horses his whole career. The one to beat but he is drawn outside the front, so you wouldn't want to be taking less then 2.00

R5

Navajo Candy - leader, speed, toughness
Misscilla - Speed, toughness
Mightegigi - speed

Good race but probably one sided. Navajo Candy will lead, Misscilla will take 1-2 spot behind Melton Ned Calle who should death seat and Mightegigi will follow Misscilla everywhere, that has a terrible strike rate but recent form is good and some chance if they all kill each other up front. To hard to seperate Navajo Candy and Misscilla as one has a better draw while the other is a slightly better horse.

Mightegigi the place suits me, on its recent form which is extremely strong for this, has to be a very good shot here to at least grab third.

R6 R7 - meh

R8

Ultimate Time - speed
Materazzi - leader, speed
Unplaced - Toughness

Meterazzi on recent runs sucks. Ultimate Time almost knocked off Take Five Stella a few runs ago when it got the same run it should get today. Unplaced will always keep coming and its only danger looks to come from Ultimate Time.

Unplaced vs Ultimate Time, take your pick!

Best

Cool Jasper - Might unload the bank here as i have catching up to do
Bundy or Nothin - She'll beat these unless shes lost the plot this campaign
Mightegigi - On recent runs, it really should be grabbing third

Under the care of Kennedys in Coleambally NSW Jack And Simon was very, very tough! Things changed up there with new trainer I take it, unfortanately.

Wrapup!

R1 Cool Jasper wins!
R2 Bundy or Nothin, second, boo!! Had to death seat and just missed!
R3 Miss Symonds wins!
R4 Staartika third and may i say it's a bludger!
R8 Unplaced = dud and Ultimate Time = dud and in fact, the whole field = meh

R5 Funny race. Misscilla and Navajo Candy both very short. Dixons decide to get cute and drive for each other and let Misscilla lead. Well that went pairshaped! They were out in 31 second second lead time, equivalent to a 27.8 second quarter! first split 30.3! Hello, leaders = no chance now, these are C0 horses after all! Now John McMullen was involved in that early speed war on Melton Ned Calle and was gone at the 800m mark and wouldnt you know it, up gets the stablemate at 50-1 Melton Lumber Mac getting the best run you ever seen.

There should be suspensions in that race! For the record Mightegigi ran fourth, darn, but had little excuses but it was a big price for a reason!

Great tip Rat! I heard the race, Dare to Dream blitzed off the back in 27.8! Nice, horse! Nice win! Definately going places! Hope he squares off against James Matthew!

Good thread.:thumbsu:
Thought I might add a couple that might worth a bet.
Don't know the odds, just a bit of research.

Tonight - Shepparton
R.4 # 7 Radical Assassin & #6 The Negatiator
R.5 # 12 Three Docs Rockin

Tomorrow
Charlton
R.6 # 2 King High

I'll have a couple more tomorrow.

Gold Coast today - No more on horses who cant run at least one fast split, tough grinding horses are not cutting it, leader or death seat might be an exception.

Race 4

King Terra - speed
Melton Stylemax - leader, speed
Mirakulous - speed
Winsomerama - speed
No Beteljuice - leader, speed
Mess About - toughness

I love these claiming races and i should stay away as theres a different result every time, usually comes down to which horse gets the right breaks.

Melton Stylemax will be favourite and SHOULD lead but may be taken on by No beatlejuice who has changed stables and has an agressive driver on. Last time MS led, he won easily in good time, but his last run was poor from the death seat, they went slow and he dropped out, so i have to overlook him because of that and NB isnt going as well as he can. King Terra should end up 3 back, i know he'll win one of these races eventually, needs all the breaks. Winsomerama has been crap his last 2 runs but there are excuses, he was burnt out of the gates 2 starts back then couldnt finish off, while last start he galloped out and lost 80m at the start. Has Bruce Birch today on board, if anyone who knows anything about QLD harness should know this guy has an unreal strike rate for the few drives he has. On the horses run 3 starts back, would win no doubt about it. Mirakulous is the one i'm interested on. Theres 2 of him, good one and the bad one. The good one, wins this by panels and the bad one is hmm! Recent form looks shizen but hes either raced in stronger races or been held up. Mess About would go close to on his best form, had no chance last start, they went mad the whole way in super fast time first up leading 3 wide line.

Prepared to take on the leaders here, looks setup for something from behind.

Mirakulous at 4.00 minimum
Winsomerama at 20.00 minimum (if hes good, he can follow Mirakulous)

R5

Our Sir Silvertail - leader, speed
Viking Beachgirl - leader, speed

Obvious OSS spears out leads, does he hand up to VB? Probably not so VB is a longshot here. OSS last run looks good on paper but he was playing follow the leader. His run 3 starts ago was crapola, so i don't think hes over the line!

Viking Beachgirl 15.00 minimum

R6

Melton Pete - toughness
Our Sister Bliss - speed

Crap race. Our Sister Bliss will need to be saved for run at them. Melton Pete runs some really good races from time to time, good field to strike back in the winners circle but will need luck inside back row.

Our Sister Bliss 3.00 minimum
Melton Pete 20.00 minimum

R8 *edit - missed the likely winner

Driver Avenue leader, speed ... has the draw to lead or take a sit, hes no good thing but always a good chance especially against this lot.
Herc The Merc - speed.... follows Driver Avenue, he should go close here, dunno why i skimmed him
Frosty Nic - leader, speed ..... On his best he'll be there at the finish

Herc the Merc should go darn close here 5.00 minimum

wrapup!

R4 Winsomerama wins! paying 18.40 on STAB! (that could of easily paid 40+ as noone could back it unless they follow them closely, oh well) Mirakulos is no good at this point in time, i won't going near him any time soon! Melton Stylemax did start favourite and was first beat, the public is so predictable!

R5 Viking beachgirl 3 wide throughout, hit the front briefly around the turn, then collapsed. OSS started at 1.70, hehe, funny! and was first beaten... VB will win a race soon

R6 Our Sister Bliss third, was sent around to the death... oh well... Melton Pete never saw daylight till to late, think it ran fifth

R8 Herc The Merc bolted in paying 3.60!

6 unit outlay for 22 return! Feels good when i find value!

Oh and check out this link of the last lap in a race at the gold coast last week. The stewards launched an inquiry into the second placed horse Woodlands Boy. I can only imagine it has to do with the horse not being driven out. From what i can see, the driver didn't move on it around the corner, gave it one tap with the whip then he actually pulled it back near the line so the stablemate could win! Funnily enough i remember them coming in droves on betfair to back the winner. At the time i thought it was strange as the winner, Disco Superfly didn't deserve to be backed in like that! Oh and this is just my opinion, i could be wrong!

R1

Governot Art - leader, speed
Ferrero - ? Don't follow the vics
Abercrombie Dexter - speed
Comet Prince - toughness, speed

Don't know Ferrero so someone might have to fill me in. Governor Art should lead and if hes left alone, would go close to winning. Comet Prince can work and still fight on but he did go down to Anitom last start, i don't know if thats good form as that field wasn't strong. Abercrombie Dexter is the safe bet, as long as hes driven quietly, you know he'll be right there in the finish but no silly odds, the other 2 are more chance to make a race of it then what he faced last week.

Abercrombie Dexter, definately not under 5.00

R2 - The best race of the night

Panorama Swing - leader, speed, toughness
Franco Nester - leader, speed, toughness
Whatta Sandy - speed, toughness

Very keen on Panorama Swing. Both times Franco Nester beat him recently, he settled in front of him, the last time they met, FN in front, PS in the death, PS never gave in, stuck to his guns the whole way and just went down. Panorama Swing will lead and really, if the racing gods show any mercy, he will win! Today Franco Nester is the one who is going to have to death seat, so now we'll see just how good he is! Whatta Sandy some chance if they both kill each other (very unlikely) and he finds racing room.

If anyones interested, i think horses 4,5,6,7 have got no hope and are very layable at whatever you like on Betfair. Those horses will all need to be snagged back at the start.

Panorama Swing at no less then 1.70

R3 - Toughest race of the night

Dash of Class - speed
Bold Cruiser - speed
Endeared - toughness, speed
Jarendan - leader, speed, toughness
Jilliby Rio - speed
Scolari - speed
Special Albert - leader, speed
Merrywood Prince - toughness, speed
Make me Smile - Leader, speed
Molly Darling - speed

Nothing in this race is without a chance, very even and very high class, can almost throw a dart at the field and hope. In saying all this i'm going for a blowout chance. Jarendan burned the whole way last start from the wide gate, beat off the odds on favourite, Shanthaliatrailblaza who ran last and beat off Merrywood Prince. Even after the sizzling lead time and even after taking a sit eventually, he still came again and ran fourth. HUGE RUN! Now hes up in class here and his only chance here is to lead and keep Special Albert out in my opinion. Endeared was a huge run last week, copped a severe check out to last on the corner but still came again and grabbed third on protest. If shes ever driven well, she'll go glose. Molly Darling is the other i kinda like. My theory with her is, she cant do one ounce of work early but she can sizzle home.

EDIT* Jarendan late scatching, darn! Special Albert now gets an easy lead and has a big chance!

Special Albert at 3.00+
Endeared at no less then 7.00
Molly Darling at no less then 15.00

R4

Alfeido - toughness

Very poor field. I like Alfeido but hes going to have to be driven correctly to win. Needs to retrained at the start, then he'll have to come around and find the death cheaply. If he can do that, big chance!

Alfeido at 4.00+

R5

My First Gem - leader, speed
Lite Energy - speed

My First Gem can lead or take a sit, shes very honest and will go very close from this draw. Lite Energy dropping in grade siginificantly, big chance to sweep over them.

My First Gem at 2.50+
Lite Energy at 8.00+

R8

Rayleighs Crown - leader, speed
Yankee Megastar - Leader, speed
Montrose Kid - speeeeeeeeed

Montrose Kid obviously the one to beat. Rayleighs Crown and Yankee Megastar are not without a hope from the good draws on best behaviour. Funnily enough, the driver on Rayleighs Crown last start got 6 weeks suspension for keeping Maybe Hall trapped!

Montrose Kid 2.00 minimum
Rayleighs Crown 50.00+
Yankee Megastar at 10.00+

Gold Coast

R2

Bustinout Hanover - leader, speed
Arnies a Fake - leader, speed
Beckoning - speed

Bustonout Hanover should lead but he doesnt finish off his races well. Arnies a Fake is clearly the best horse here but first up, drawn the outside of the front. Would need to lead one would think and he cant work either. Beckoning is the safe option, drops a bit in class here, would of preferred Nat to take the drive but finishes well against moderate opposition and she gets that here.

Beckoning at 5.00+

R3

Hideaway - ?
Montrichard - speed

Terrible field. Montrichard wins easy if saved for one shot at them.
Montrichard at 3.00+

R4

Mister Janjillan - leader, speed
Treasure Hunter - leader, speed
Tafetta Black - toughness, speed

Like most claimers, anything can win with the right run. Mister Janjillan holds the aces here, he can lead or take a sit behind Treasure Hunter who i don't really like. Tafetta Black was a very solid, tough win last start.

Mister Janjillan at 5.00+
Tafetta Black at 4.00+

R5

Thunderbolt Cruiser - Leader, speed
All Our Lad - leader, speed
Top Shelf Hanover - toughness, speed

Thunderbolt Cruiser is the one. Can lead or sit close to the speed. No Gotta be Bings in this to outsprint him i don't think. All Our Lad has the draw to dictate but i'd rather wait and see with him while Top Shelf Hanover is drawn poorly.

Thunderbolt Cruiser at 4.00+

R6

Another Left - leader, speed

If he leads, should win again, the start determines its fate.

Another Lefty at 2.50+

R7

Chinese Whispers - leader, speed
Persuasive - speed
Motu Fella - speed
Veni Vidi Vici - speed

Bad race, bad field. Persuasive best off the front line but drawn poorly and first up after a letup. I'll be on Motu Fella again but he'll need to be saved for one shot at them this time so he needs the breaks.

Motu Fella 7.00+

R8

Another Joy - leader, speed, toughness

One horse race, it cant lose. I feel sorry for the opposition. Should win by 124m.

Another Joy at 1.04+

Gliucrester Park

R1 Royden Holmes should lead, should win, big drop in grade 2.50+
R4 Baylistic Boy strikes a poor field, should go sit up forward 3.00+
R5 Striking Albert should go forward and looks hardest to beat 3.50+
R7 Just Jasper's recent runs superb. Standout! 2.50+
R8 Astra Rock will win if it leads, if not Zaguar should win
R9 Morganator only because hes trained by Peter Anderson 4.00+
R10 Dusty Rose obviously cant work early, different horse tonight 8.00+

Best tonight

Panorama Swing
Montrichard
Another Joy
Royden Holmes
Just Jasper
Dusty Rose

Well that took forever! :)

yes hopefully we dare to dream does sqaur off with james mathew, at the valley tongiht i like the look of mister swinger i got him at 3 dollars on sports bet which was very good odds should win easily also jaydens castle in race 5 i think should run a very cheeky race

wrapup

If every selection was a unit, then 27 units outlayed for 43.8 unit return on STAB!

20 races for 8 winners,5 seconds,1 third and 6 dud results

Definately still making errors. Tossing in battlers from good draws and selecting sit sprinters from bad draws would be at the top of my list. Barrier draws are so important, need to pay more attention there. For example, Baylistic Boy ran like a dog tonight yet Disco Invasion who drew the pole wins. The irony there is i wrapped up Disco Invasion in a race a couple of weeks ago with Baylistic Boy in the race. BB beat DI by 20+m! Tonight, different barriers, far different result!

Best runs tonight were,

Alfeido, worked his arse off early and still beat them!
Just Jasper broke the record for the lead time at Gloucester Park and still won!
Morgonator made a 3 wide run in a sprint home (28.4 final split) and got close
Top Shelf Hanover stormed home from a mile back to just miss, i like this horse more and more i see him
Tafetta Black destroyed his rivals with ease, this horse is flying
Molly Darling made good ground out wide for fourth. Prolly best run of the night, that track was atrocious for horses trying to run on.

R1

Als Passion - leader, speed
Thats the Spirit - speed and a whole lotta toughness
Count the Cards - speed
Tobazzco - speed

Tricky race, lot of potential speed off the front row so if Thats the spirit pushes forward he may be trapped off the track. If he restrains then leads the 3 wide line, he prolly has more chance. Extremely hard race to be confidant about.

Thats The Spirit 3.00+
Tobazzco 8.00+

R2

Stage Coach Kid - leader, speed, toughness

He doesnt need to do anything silly here. Should just amble into the death and he can outsprint them at the end. Hes very beatable if he flies about in 27.8 speed. I hate the driver but i love the horse.

Stage Coach Kid 2.00+

R3

Garador - speed

Not impressed with most of these at the moment. Garador made very good ground off the track last start when they ran home in 27.7. Quite confident here he can go close.

Garador 2.50+

R4

Blair John - leader, speed
By the Left - speed
Fullaspeed - speed

Blair John should get every possible chance to break back into the winners stall. Will lead and no excuses against this lineup. Spent his last 2 runs 3 wide, hes getting better and better. By the Left will follow him through off the second row, biggest danger. Fullaspeed, blowout chance with gun draw to follow.

Blair John 2.00+

Styx Lover - leader, speed
Gotta Be Bing - speed
Shady Falcon - leader, speed

Going for a blowout. Styx Lover hopefully holds the lead, Gotta Be Bing trails it doing no work, should rush home unless something turns it into a stamina test. I'm the Navigator been racing in better company but i think hes overated, time will tell. Shady Falcon is a also a big chance if he can cross Styx Lover cheaply, hes a very good leader who bolted in last start running away.

Gotta be Bing 10.00+
Shady Falcon 5.00+

R7 - Winter Cup

Slipnslide - leader, speed
Good Lookin Girl - speed, toughness
Rebel Taj - Leader, speed

I'm not going into huge detail here. Be good Johnny would have bolted this in but now hes out, the race is open maybe. I'm banking on Slipnslide crossing. Rebel Taj will lead and if the stable drives for each other, they will let Slipnslide cross over cheaply. When hes in front hes nearly impossible to run down in form. Good Lookin Girl got the worst possible draw, inside back row, so no.

Rebel Taj at 6.00+
Slipnslide at 3.50+

R8

Good Lookin Guy - toughness, speed

This race is open. I'm just going on what i blackbooked last start in Good Lookin Guy. He shouldnt have won last start on the times, he put the best run of his career in to win. So sick how Jaylock Vinny lost that. Did all the work on the outside and just kep coming and won. If he does the same here, he can win this.

Good Lookin Guy 15.00+

R10 - Albion Park

Yoradevil
Hal Thomas
Evening Class

Market Minor is awful value right now. Hal Thomas is 50/50 to win.... Yoradevil has the draw to sweep home. Evening Class put up the best run i have seen recently when he won last start, back rows against him but if he reproduces then 41.00 is looking sweet.

Need Yoradevil or Evening Class to break even, come on boys!

Yep, one of those nights, The Market Minor bolts in, haha! :)

Wrapup

2 winners (would have been 3 if i didnt change last race) and 4 seconds

16 unit outlay for the grand total of 3.7 return! haha shocker

In my defense,

Shady Falcon second at 17.00
Good Lookin Guy second at 13.30
Slipnslide second at 6.70

As far as what was good and what wasn't. Thats the Spirit ran on from near last off that track in a final split 28.4 and won, wow! Danger Mouse far to good for moderate opposition ;) Redcourt continues his flying form and i'm annoyed i wasn't on him. Blair John was shizen and so was Fullaspeed as was Garador the previous race! Mark Joseph is overated! Shady Falcon put in another top run, unlucky Loosen the Load led, he never loses when he finds the front. I Am Sam put up one of the best runs i have ever seen, so sad he lost. Atomic Ark was a great run as was Slipnslide, his fitness can't be right yet but watch out when hes on. Good Lookin Guy just went down, darn.... ran exactly how i thought he would, just ran out of time. Arivee = dud.

That would sum up the night! Few shizen selections didn't help!

Horses to follow

I Am Sam ))
Atomic Ark )) All 3 were warriors
Slipnslide ))
Redcourt
Shady Falcon when he can lead

and last but not least

Thats the Spirit - This is some horse, gee they got this flying

I got sh*ts Thursday night when the site was down so didnt do any tipping. Ended up $6 down anyway on what I would have done.

Special Albert was paying good Friday night I thought.

Cant remember what Atomic Ark did in the run! Hopefully Slipnslide is back to his best. I was realy impressed with I Am Sam, Rebel Taj stopped at the 400 maybe earlier and I Am Sam wasnt beaten much that was a super run, they went 1.57.4 over 2680.
Good Lookin Girl would have won that a month ago shes coming to the end of a long prep!

only had one bet for the night and out layed 50 on count di lira had been folowing it the last 3 weeks and didnt have much luck finally showed my faith in it with a nice win :thumbsu::)
