He is? lol.... Alright Brooklyn i'll take your word for it! :)

Penrith tonight

Race 5 - Best race tonight as 3 horses i really like all clash thats being Eddie the Eagle, Gotashotaway and Whata Sandy. Eddie the eagle will start favourite no doubt about it, will lead and will be hard to run down. The best of the three Whata Sandy has drawn inside the back row, ouch.... if he can work off and get around to the death he will win this but thats a big gamble. As for Gotashotaway, hes going great guns but has an ordinary draw. Should overcome it and run into a place one would think.

Gotashotaway the place looks the best value in my opinion

Race 9 - Anguish first run for 2 years, when sat back and ran on strongly in a solid last quarter winning easily and spacing the third horse. Extremely hard to beat.

Anguish win

Worked out well tonight, being more selective in my selections at the moment. Tuesday taught me a good lesson. I'm just happy to sit back and analyse things and see where the opportunities are.

3 definate bets today at the gold coast. Motu Adios Hanover, Roma Tee and Ultimate Power. Found 2 of them pre race but missed Roma Tee but gee it was obvious! None of this is aftertiming, i'm just sharing my thought process here.

What i'm finding is my biggest mistake and evidently most other punters mistakes is that really horses should be judged squarely on there last run. Few good examples of this.

Four Starz Towel went around favourite the other day at evens, was first beat, i actually laid that. Sunopal a little dissapointing who i laid came out and won, grr... Where i went wrong was, okay the horse isn't the greatest but it still ran on hard at its previous start but the est of the field did little at the previous starts so what was i thinking laying it! duh! Carn Eddie Go was another big blunder today, i saw people lining up to bet on it after it's pretty crappy run the previous start and gee what a suprise, first beat again today.

I don't think punting is just about trial and error as much but more about finding the mistakes other punters make and capitalising on there mistakes. Isn't that how you win on all forms of gambling? Thats definately how you win at poker.

Anyway missed a couple tonight who were obvious at Penrith. Maudie and Swantastic were the obvious winners, i knew it pre race but took the safety option to ignre the race but thats my loss and hopefully i can minimise that in future. The other 2 glaring mistakes i saw were,

Penrith R1 - Denzel Washington didn't win in the fastest time last start and he struggles when he has to work which he was always going to do at Penrith and on top of it he beat a couple of walkers. Why on earth was he favourite beats me and Jasper Gold? Please.. slowish overall mile rate, okay he sat 3 wide last lap but he was beaten a fair way! Maudie had to be favourite as was unsuited by the quick dash up the straight at her last start.

Gold Coast Race 5 - Look away Dixie sent out roughly 6/4 while Dream Date went around at roughly 20s on the various tabs. Okay hows that work out when on there last couple of runs theres hardly a thing seperating them. Mind boggling!

So yeah as for tonight. Gotashotaway placed at 1.60 and Anguish won at 2.10. Happy i summed up both races spot on, shows there can be rewards with one puts the required effort in!

If these blog type posts is boring anyone? I'll quit it in future, just let me know! :)

Brooklyn, i'd prefer not to talk about that horse, nothing personal but i know when to be on him! :)

As for Jarendan being crossed, maybe you guys are right but in my opinion, hes got no hope of crossing unless Willick is happy to hand up and take his back. I don't have a crystal Ball so i'm assuming he'll grow a pair and make the rest earn the win or at the very least if hes going down he can take MMS with him. Again in my opinion under the training reigeme of Willick, not the previous dud who trained him (no offense if he ever read this), i believe Jarendan has better gate speed and is a hell of a lot tougher then MMS.

On the flip side, if Willick does hand up, MMS can reel off a blinding last half if left alone so i see where you guys are coming from.

Oh one more thing, did anyone pay attention to the run of Vikishalo? Led the 3 wide line up in a quick last half and hit the line strongly at a very unsuitable track. Will absolutely flog its rivals if she can ever draw a race without a really good one! That also makes the run of The Maelstrom at his previous run look awesome as well as Whata Sandy won again tonight and Vikishalo couldn't hold his back at her previous run in the sprint home. Gotashotaway on top of it, has form around all of them including an unlucky second to Franco Nester! Oh and Hosking who raced against Gotashotaway i'm sure would of won that race if he wasn't so ******ed and stopped making mistakes! All horses to follow in a big, big way! Strong form!

Just thinking, Panorama Swing (no match for Jarendan though :) ) also has his form intertwined with these horses and he ran second to Mister Swinger and got a chariots berth.... really good form line!

Are you talking about The Jamaican, because he won, and paid big, also the exacta paid huge didn't it rat. Or are you talking about Maudie. He won as well, lol, hes one of my favourite horses in his right race as he looks gone and always comes back under the whip, hes a good tough stayer.

Plus what you type on here isn't boring, because you know what your talking about, but you dont know what your talking about when it comes to gate speed, haha. jk jk, we will find out tonight.

Craig Rail has LPW at $2.90 in tonight's field, is that extreme overs or is that his right price? It will be interesting to see how he goes, he certaintly is no stone-broker.

lol @ the jamacian... i don't get it? :)

Lombo Pocket Watch absolutely flew last start. If i was a bookie i would have him at around 1.65, Karloo Mick at around 2.40, Jarendan at around 7.00, MMS at 1000 and the others at around 20s plus.

Lombo Pocket Watch came out at Menangle last start in 26.7 and home in 26.0 neat... the fastest split i have seen at the track i believe. I always add a second to each quarter to compare to Harold Park times, so you can say out in 27.7, home in 27.0... Good luck if your still laying him!

If Calder Image leads I will dead set run down Buckley Street naked on Monday. He will take the sit.

Make Me Smile $1000? I might become a millionaire after tonight.

Broadway Play and Ultimate Mark by the length of the straight and more hahaha.

Harold Park

R1 - Anniewinalot should go well here in this really poor field, last 2 runs not the best but they far, far harder asignments in very fast last halves. She only has to circle around to the death and she should be extremely hard to run down. Anitom clearly is next best.

Anniewinnalot to win

R2 - Four really good horses here, being The Spurs are Flyin, Abercrombie Dexter, Governor Art and The Maelstrom. All are racing in fine style and i can make a case for each of them. Governor Art should push for the lead, TSAF and AD should slot in nicely while TM should make a solid charge at them at the end and i do think hes racing extra well, extra, extra well in fact. Was rather impressed with TSAF last start, very quick last half and really made a strong race of it with Prince Benji. What to do? hmmm....

The Maelstrom to win (you have to be on him) / save on The Spurs are Flyin

R3 - Another open race. Four big hopes in Enjays Cam, Yushenko Leis, Bold and Regal and Lucky Elsie. I'll be banking on Yushenko Leis to head off Enays Cam and that should be that.

Yushenko Leis to win

R5 - Fluer De Lil ran a game second last start to Be Diligent in a track record from the death.

Fluer De Lil to win

R6 - As spoken about, Lombo Pocket Watch, Karloo Mick, Make Me Smile and Jarendan look the main players. I'll bank on an early battle between Jarendan and MMS so i'll overlook those 2. Karloo Mick and LPW were both awesome at there previous starts.

Karloo Mick place looks the value (only 2 place dividends but thats okay)

R7 - Saucy Legend ultra impressive every start, cant look any other way.

Saucy Legend to win

R8 - The Uppercrust is going great guns. Only needs to lob into the running line, wait till the 400m then unleash. However i was ultra impressed with Right Interest in her run before heading into the big race at Bendigo last start. This is miles easier and shes drawn to trail Montrose Kid through. Going for an upset...

Right Interest to win

Gold Coast

R2 - Matai BBC finished extremely hard last start being caught 3 back the fence. Now she must lead to win, there is no ifs or buts about it, so you will know your fate at the start of the race.

Mattai BBC to win

R3 - We have Destreos dropping back from its first run in Australia in a track record. Also have Vicious Villiain who ran extremely well last start in a fast last half just missing from the same draw. Not to often they run a 58.4 half at Redcliffe!

Vicious Villain to win

R5 - I'm Gazza first up in Australia in the 3 wide train ran a close second behind Roma Tee who since came out and won again yesterday.

I'm Gazza to win

R7 - Torida Abba shows enough last start in a very quick last half hes about ready to win.

Torida Abba to win

R8 - Vitesse Operative sat in the death in quick time and just missed last start and the winner Play the Line bolted in on Wednesday again.

Vitesse Operative to win

Sorry Rat, bit slow today, doing it in bits and pieces :)

Listened to the first at HP - shows you, its all about there last runs. Terrible all of them, shouldnt have played, really got to be disciplined. Had hoped Anniewinalot just couldnt get into her last 2 runs because of the fast halves but the reality is, she couldnt get into it cos shes lost form. Smacks forhead! :(

Gloucester Park

R3 - Amongst Royalty - Straight to the front, game over.
R5 - Sneakin Down Under - Wins by a space paying 1.04
R6 - Patches - Last 3 runs all good, pretty bad field.... happy to speck it :)
R7 - Precious Dylan - Was spotting them an impossible start last start in a fast last half off the track. Made great ground for fourth! Best bet on the night!
R8 - Morganator will brain them if Woodley is serious!
R9 - Compressor - Amazing this horse is still eligible to to off the front row. If gets away safely and makes no mistakes, he will win.

So yeah anyway,

Best bet of the entire night is Precious Dylan

Before you say it Brooklyn, how much did they pay Willick to ease off the gate. Your telling me it was better to ease back to last instead of at the minimum taking the back of Make Me Smile? The lead time was slow..... That race was over before it begun. Really dissapointed in Willick there, piss weak drive and shows no integrity. Run that race again with Jarendan driven out with the stick and MMS doesnt run a place.

Not as dissapointed as l am with the drive of Gavin Fitzpatrick on LPW. What the f**k was he doing back there. l know the chariots is LPW's next run so he didn't want to flatten the horse but why not come to the death? When you're on the best horse in the race you don't sit last while the leader is walking. Like l said the other day Fitzpatricks are shifty. l guess l just got it wrong. Should have known, the dodgy pricks.

Yeah okayyyyyyyyyyy Brooklyn, what comes around goes around buddy!

Anyway ended up doing 18 selections for 6 winners 2 second 4 thirds 3 fourths... So i'm never far away but not coming out ahead either which is sad.

Winners paid 7.00 1.70 2.50 2.30 1.30 2.40 = 17.2 return....

Getting a little disheartening here. Either win small, lose small or break even. Even when i get the 2 or 3 dollar shots up, its pathetic, thats not how you win on horses. :(

Albion Park tonight - Brutally tough card again with very even fields. Should be great value in there as theres little between them in most races. Can easily end up a shocker of a night again or if i get a break for once, could be great.

R1 - Maurice George - (posting this 2 mins after race, it won but its aftertiming)
R2 - Glenburns Pan
R3 - Tafetta Black
R4 - Ex Are Six
R5 - Mirfak Prince
R6 - Visions of Clancy
R7 - Woodlea Glenn
R8 - Good Lookin Guy
R9 - Turing
R10 - It's Big Time Baby

Haha mate ill never let u forget that...I wish I had of taken a market with you...Make Me Smile 1000-1...Should have taken ya up on it. lol.
