Nice to see this thread progressing in a positive way and looks like everyones finding a wnner. Well done guys.

If only i read this last night though. Could of saved myself quite alot by not loading up on Cold Sister but all good :)

20 dollar comp tonight - 4/3/2/1 point system, 1 selection per race at Menangle, Melton and Albion Park. Good luck to anyone who may join. I'll pay via Paypal to the winner assuming anyones in

Selections posted before 5.50pm Melbourne time.

Nice night Doctor - well done!

Don't follow QLD, hadn't really looked at Menangle given the big meeting at Melton tonight in which I'm more interested in watching as a neutral rather than having a vested interest so if I get the $20 it will be pure luck.

Albion Park
Rc1No6 Lombo Lumber Jack
Rc2No5 Maywyn Jasper
Rc3No7 Modern Whitby
Rc4No4 Lanercost (Graham stable resuming all their stars see Race8)
Rc5No2 Mister Attitude
Rc6No5 Torque In Motion
Rc7No3 Nickys Falcon
Rc8No2 Courageous Annie (good to see her back - her rival Forever Gold finished 3rd last night in NZ behind Better Cover Lover who was destined to never race again!)

Menangle
Rc1No4 Oscar Lane (they trialled in 1.52.9 midweek; I had been following Mabrook in the HRNSW Tipping Comp over the Miracle Mile carnival so watch him win now lol - this is actually a great C3-C5 race which can pop up when you have top 4yos meet each other)
Rc2No9 Two Eye See (I'll be cheering for him so may as well tip him)
Rc3No1
Rc4No2
Rc5No2
Rc6No1
Rc7No8
Rc8No5
Rc9No5
Followed the McCarthy stable closely even though just based on principle rather than having read form.

Melton
Rc1No1 Spinalong (although claiming races are a must and a good thing for the industry its sad to see some of these horses still going around well past their prime)
Rc2No9 Armed Guard (I mentioned how I See Icy Earl is one of my favourite trotters well this bloke is also another one in my top 5)
Rc3No2 Restrepo (good to see a lot of the good 3yos starting early in preparation for the Vic Derby - something trainers have neglected to do in past few seasons)
Rc4No7 Left In Paris
Rc5No2 Tara Royale
Rc6No2 Down Under Muscles
Rc7No2 Smudge Bromac (I accidently stumbled upon some closing sectionals at Menangle during the week and when I inspected them this bloke had the quickest so it could be an 'omen' for me)
Rc8No5 Melpark Major. Logic says he can't win but he is my favourite horse in the land.
Rc9No5 Definite Girl
Rc10No9 Grinnersawinner

Haven't tipped with the head for the majority here; just tipped who I will be cheering on.

If you like Spinalong in the first race and you follow Victorian form then man Thats Mister Ali must be the best of good things in my eyes.

I'm going to do something probably stupid and take on 2 horses i knew used to be good being Dartmoor and The Gunstar. What happened to those two horses?

I havn't read the form and don't really have any knowledge of claiming races but your probably right a $50K claimer should be beating a $10K claimer - especially when the 50K claimer comes in with good form from country cups and the 10K claimers last start was at Wagga. Even though I wouldn't really expect improvement from it because Mick Hardy is a good trainer I just selected it because I will be watching it as its first up new trainer.
I'm not a punter really so doing the form doesn't bother me much.

Lanercost resuming in the next at Albion Park. My favorite horse and the future ID winner imo. He will win easily first up but can make some money on the exotics

First 4 - Lanercost / 1,8 / 1,8,9 / 1,8,9,11

National Service in the last for me, i reckon he will sit leaders back and is a good thing EW.

Big run by Mr Feelgood tonight too, clearly a better horse than ITMQ who ran a shocker

Following you in here for a little play before bedtime.

Also i know Raglan had the soft run but he pelted home when he got out in the straight

For a brief moment I thought it was going to head SU but order was maintained. Takes a fair bit to fluster LJ.

Yeah, did get home nicely but I won't be following it later on because of that.

The run of ITMQ too bad to be true I think. A flight to Sydney, a float trip to Shepparton and 4 runs in as many weeks probably took its toll. I'd put a red line through that one because he had a very soft run and to see him cross the line last or near to last was . Freshen up and back to home turf will do wonders. Just means his followers will get better odds about him now as Smoken Up will probably go into ID favourite.

I think thats the right results, how did you go GeeUUess?

National Service in the last for me, i reckon he will sit leaders back and is a good thing EW.

Doubled my money for a place.

I'll continue to look to you for guidance.

On a side note, did anyone actually attend the meeting at Melton tonight?

Has anyone here actually been out there yet?

I've been out there once to a meeting, but that's only because my Uncles' horse was going around, and damn, from the SE suburbs it was a trip.

I seriously doubt if I'll go out there again unless we get the Inter Dom, it's just too far out, 200km round trip for me.

So I either end up tying with Danger Mouse on 41 pts or end up tying with Doctor on 45 pts.
Either way don't really care Doctor can have the $20. My 'tips' would have put someone well in front if followed so can't complain!

It's a lot closer for me and I'd really like to know what people think of the venue.
