Just felt this deserved a thread (with toast!). Kudos to Harry for sticking it out. He's worked hard for a debut, so let's hope he rips Norf a new one!

Great lesson for the other boys that have been toiling away in the 2's as well...anything is possible with hard work!

Marsh is our 6th debutant for the season which is the most of any team.
He is also our 18th since the '12 premiership which is equal with Melbourne as the most of anyone (obviously aside from GWS and the Gold Coast).

Incredibly impressive for a team that has been top 4 for all of those 3 seasons.

Edit: nah surely the 'dogs would have had more? The article I read may not be accurate.

i suspected the Swans might go in small but i expected them to pick another forward or midfielder, not another mid sized defender/tall mid

So for those that watch the reserves, what sort of position does he regularly play? I'm assuming he's coming in to take the position Mills plays and free up Mills to play in the midfield.

Surprised to see that Sydney have debuted so many players in that time frame.

You are right however the Dogs are up there having debuted 20 players from and including 2013.

Interesting that of the debutants in that time all bar one are still on the list and we have added 2 others who debuted elsewhere. They are Shane Biggs and Tom Boyd.

Swannies have done very well with their debutants and developing players in 2016.

Did he spend a bit of time on Waite? On TV looked like he was opposed to Waite in quite a few contests and won them all. Waite was rubbish. If Marsh played on him for a significant part of the game that's a huge game on debut because Waite has had a good year.

Looked really good and really calm under pressure, amazing at times. Lloyd, Jones and McHack were just hacking it forward at times but Marsh was superb with the ball, took his time and looked really solid with it. Took a couple of important intercept marks and was generally tidy and efficient.
