Harry Kane

Only trophies that matter to the big clubs are the league and champions league. Do you think an FA or league cup would satisfy someone like Harry Kane if they were finishing outside the top 4 every year? I’d say the only reason he’s stayed this long is because they’re consistently finishing top 4.
That would be great if he hadn't been interviewed yesterday and talked about prioritising winning trophies. Perfect timing too with Jose saying the same thing about Kane on the same day.

If they 'prioritised' domestic cups under Pochettino and weren't making champions league he probably wouldn't be a Tottenham player today. Winning a league cup aint gonna be enough for their top players to hang around if they aren't playing in the competitions and challenging for the trophies that actually matter.

If that was his last season good way to go out.

- Golden boot
- Joins Henry and Shearer with more than 2 GB's.
- First player since Andy Cole 1994 to win golden boot and most assists.

Hopefully ends up being the rocket up the club's arse, invest to match ambition.
Clock is now ticking.

Whether he stays or leaves he is well and truly in discussion as our GOAT. Incredible year with a heap of sh*t around him.

Has he been around long enough to be a GOAT if he moves on this summer? I feel Levy will probably price him higher than what the oil clubs would be even be prepared to pay (150m +). Seems like the sort of guy that will just get on with it and keep scoring goals too so shouldn't be a concern if Levy says no to a sale.

7 seasons after getting his crack with Sherwood at the back end of 13/14 that's as long as it comes nowadays really. Over 300 appearances and 221 goals.

If people want to get a rough feel for what Kane would be like in a top side look at his numbers from 2016-2018 when we were pushing the title winning sides. 76 goals in 86 appearances for us over that 2 year stretch. As we've fallen away as a team so too has his output a little. But when he is in a top side that's the sort of scoring he delivers

Hasn't won anything either

Blanchflower and Hoddle well up there too
So if Soton win the league cup next season does that mean Ward-Prowse is ahead of Le Tissier?

Don’t think Kane has gone past Greaves or Ghodd either but the trophies argument is lame. Is Liam Picken now better than Doug Hawkins as he has a medal?

Liam Picken elite and a proven big game player

Sorry Harry, you ain't a big game player

He is a great goal scorer. It’s only a question of if he will break the PL record at Spurs or a different club. 61 goals to get it and you’d imagine he has another 4-5 years left.
Fastest to 200 PL goals. So as long as he plays for another 3-4 seasons he'll get there. If he plays until late 30s wouldn't put 300 past him.

He has scored 122 league goals in 5 and half season (92 in 4 and a half season) , so it is very possible if he keeps it up long term.
