At the same time Cornes couldn't see the obvious and call out Houston for being a dud.

Instead, he put the onus back on Collinwood "How do Collingwood maximise Dan and get the most out of him"

It’s probably too obnoxious to quote myself from this thread, but I’m absolutely not surprised at his B&F results. Played his role as well as you could hope, team first, following instructions and patching gaps wherever he was asked to. B&F don’t tend to reward ball winning as much as other awards do. As I said during the year, I think we stuffed up not giving him midfield minutes this year to build chemistry with Nick and to prepare for post Pendles life (who in fact did well with his change of role at HB). I would have done it from round 0 but at worst we should have pulled the trigger mid year when Long and Sidey’s form dropped. So be it, but he really needs a chance in that role change and I think he’s our defensive mid option to cover forward runs from Nick and Jordy.

I liked Pez’ profile for that Dunkley role since trade period 2024 but what convinced me was when Pendles said he rates his decision making as elite last pre season. Coming from one of the best decision maker in footy history and a grounded person that doesn’t over hype, it held its weight for me.

Kane wanting him delisted is actually an honour of the highest order. The club rates Perryman highly. Perryman is a pie player to watch, Kane is Kane and not worth a listen.
