Toast Harry Taylor - 200 games.

Such a sliding doors moment. Egan doesn't get injured and we may never have recruited Harry to the club. Now set to draw level with Scratcher Neal registering game number 200. Where has the time gone.

Awesome effort by the war buff! Here's hoping the boys join him in the trenches, steam-roll Richmond with a blitzkreig and make his 200th game one to remember!

Then celebrate with his favourite poison, cognac.

Congrats to Harry.

We are in the ridiculous situation now where he is actually underrated. He has been one of the best CHBs for nearly a decade now and he isn't ever in AA discussions anymore. Absurd.

His relaxed style and 7-iron kicking trajectory annoys the hell out of me but he's a hell of a player. Never gets beaten.

Losing Egan, and picking up the Q9. It's really the very definition of bittersweet.

Has been a truly fantastic player in the hoops and a truly great ambassador for the GFC.

A player who appears to have got the best out of himself in footy through a fierce determination to succeed and a meticulous approach to preparation and focus on the task at hand. Not the most gifted going around but clearly one of the most thorough in developing his craft and always embracing a 'team-first' ethic.

2016 has not been his best season but has still produced plenty of highlights, regardless. Some of his spoiling, contested marking and precise ball use has been clearly AA standard once more.

Still capable of blanketing opponents of just about any size and is a vital cog in a highly impressive back six once again this year.

Keep the quality coming, Harry.:thumbsu:

And the dynamic goal celebrations.;)

Been ordinary this year has Harry. Showed a glimpse last week. Hopefully he'll start earning the big bucks for the remainder of the year.

One of the best value draft picks and players that we have ever had. He is one of the poster children for how to use the draft/salary cap/list spots efficiently.

Dead set legend.

One of the great characters of not only the club but the game; can't recall too many like Harry over the years, with his somewhat professorial demeanor on the field and unique playing style.
Having another very solid season; if the great Reg Hickey hadn't been predominantly a CHB then Harry would have a strong claim on being just about our finest ever in the position - he probably still does.

Proved his loyalty to the club when he signed his 4-year contract extension despite family pressures to move back to WA.

Apart from being one of the best intercept marks in the comp for the bulk of his career, he also remains one of the best big-man paddlers I have seen; the way he knocks and dribbles the ball around without actually taking possession has helped he and the team out of many a tight spot over the years.

Here's to ya Harry; hopefully has a few more seasons left in him, always keeps himself in great nick so he's a good chance to get to 250 I reckon .. :thumbsu:

Congrats Harry. Great contributor to a successful era in the club's history. Hopefully the whole team gives you a day to remember for the right reasons.

Long after Taylor retires I'll always remember that mark on HBF as St Kilda were pressing, 6 points down, 30 seconds to go in the 09 GF.
When I was at the game I thought he was right in contention for the best player on the ground. Certainly one of our most vital for the victory - put an even slightly inferior defender in his place that day and we don't win the GF.

He's been an absolute star for most of his career, and super important for us from early on. He has faded the last couple of years, a reflection of the high standards he'd set for so long. He's still shown at points over the past three years that he can be an absolute stalwart, a brick ball opposition can't get past. It's at the stage where we need to be pressuring well up the field to exploit his strengths though. Maybe that was always the case and our decline in these areas has been the cause rather than the decline of the man itself. In either case, he's just as important for a potential flag in the next couple of years as he has been for the past two.

Well done Harry.

I've never watched that game again. Well, I did watch a quarter and then turned it off.

I think Taylor got real lucky Riewoldt played like a spud.
He dropped so many clear marks.

I had backed Harry for Norm Smith, so you could say I was watching closely (and have watched the replay numerous times).

He was huge that day. Riewoldt worked his guts out but Harry dominated him.

One of the greatest CHB's Geelong has ever had I'd imagine. Walks like he has 2 broken ankles but when it's game on, he dominates. Such a consistent and reliable defender we're so lucky to have him. Love his character.
Brains and braun!!

I'll take your word for it. Because I'll never watch it.

I can remember saying to my brother 'we're getting lucky Riewoldt is dropping everything'
