Does what is best for the club, with minimal fuss, from first game to last. Will never be another personality like him - so intelligent, yet so humble, yet so off-centre in his humour.

Gonna miss ya H, but I daresay there'll be a coaching position/development/training
etc. at the club, waiting for ya if you want it.

All the best H, you will always be a great champion of our club :)

Is there a Physiotherapy vacancy part-time? Surely he could do part private practice and partime at club.

This is my first ever post on a non doggies page. Apologies for the intrusion.

Just wanted to say that Harry has given me nightmares for many years with his incredible intercept marking and general defensive hardness.

If he and Dale Morris played in the same backline games would end 0-0.

Wishing the big man all the best. One of the great defenders of all time.

Compare the quality of player Taylor had to compete against with today's forward . . . Riewoldt, Brown, Pavlich, Hall, etc. It's any wonder he successfully held his own right until the end of his career.
Must feel incredibly fulfilled as a person to leave such a long lasting legacy on the community of Geelong, and for the club itself.

Be very interesting to see where he ranks in the updated team of the century. Scarlett and Ablett are locks. Enright and Taylor have been mightily brilliant in their own right.

Champion of the club. Champion guy. When I was trying to teach my girls about the game, I tried to explain Harry Taylor, "You see that tall guy out there who runs like he's injured. That's Harry Taylor. He'll run like that all day and he'll beat the guy he's playing on too."

Typical Harry . Allows Ablett to get the headlines, allows b & f winner to take the headlines. Then announces retirement. Very selfless and super dedicated. Hopefully all the youngsters can take a bit of Harry into their life and football preparation. BTW his last 2 years were very good! Thanks!

All class and poise, Harry.

One of the greats - a pleasure to watch. A deep thinker and insightful. I think Harry will stay involved in footy and media for some time yet.

A bit different is our Harry. A coach once told me he did drills wearing a blindfold. Then there was the 'hamdshake', and this season the dyed hair.

He always had a ungainly running style but he actually covered the ground really well.

Has he said what he intends to do next? As someone who possibly wasn't a natural at the game but improved himself by thought and application you think he would make a good assistant coach.

From an opposition supporter I take my hat off to Harry. Very hard to beat, gave his 100% and more, a gentleman on and off the field. I hope you continue in some capacity as assistant coach or such.
