Yeh I think we are pretty harsh on journalists. I don't write about sport for a daily paper but have faced the fear of a blank page and a looming deadline. Sometimes you just have to churn out 500 words, even if you know it is garbage.

Still I think Ralph is one that really stands out.

I respect Robbo in a weird way.

Weird being the operative word!

Heard Scot Palmer when he was guest speaker at a footy club function some time ago admit to sometimes writing "think pieces" when faced with the blank page and a no news situation. For 'think piece' read 'made up'.

Still hosts the Sorrento Sharks lunches, does Scot. Funny man.
