What I saw of him last night I was very Impressed. Gets rid of the ball extremly quick and looks like he'll be an exceptional in and under player.
Probably the most exiting debut I've seen since Richo.

Big statement but the kid can play. Probably didn't get a heap of possessions but what he did with them was exciting.
Looks like a born play maker.

Good to see Danny didn't take him straight off Didak when he snagged two goals. Kept confidence in him until the game was just about over. Nice first up effort.

Would everyone still think he played well on Didak if didak had of kicked straight. It seemed he was lead to the ball by him and if Didak ended up with 6 goals like he probably should of, i think it would of been a different story. Although it was his first game, i still dont think he is ready and should have a bit more of a run down at Coburg first.
Probably the most exiting debut I've seen since Richo.
Not sure if i agree with you totally on this assessment 'nut'.

We don't really have too many options for the Didak, Farmer, Milne types. Newman ... and ummmm ... Hartigan, maybe Hyde. Even if he wasn't getting the job done we might have to stick with him.

fairly silly remark...no-ones ever going to convert every chance as there was plenty of pressure....i recall there was only one set shot he duffed...geez Bowny kicked 2-5

Don't know if I'd like Chaff on the really quick FP. Chaffey is better suited to the mid-sized marking guys like Medhurst and Robertson more than the likes of Farmer.

Next week I think you'd put Chaffey on Robertson, Fiora on Green and who on Aaron Davey?

I really like the looks of Hartigan. Nice skills, in and under, tough and fairly compsed. Just needs to work on his defensive side of game which will develop in time.

Securing him at pick 70 is a bargain. Your recruiting officer must be commended.

It really beddazzles me why players such as Hartigan,Davey and Surjan are overlooked due to their size.

Good luck to Hartigan at Tigerland, I genuinely believe you have found a player.

I hope we drop Nicholson for this fridays game or else Richo will kick 10.

While on the this topic, you can possibly add Rodan into that list.

Newman is one who can play back pocket on a quick forward. Still, he is probably better off graduating to the middle of the ground.

Have to be the one of the worst calls ever.

How about Hartigans chase in the last quarter? Gave Davey a few metres start on the defensive side, matched him stride for stride and after Davey passed it to Holland, Hartigan just kept going and nearly ran down big Dutchy, at least did enough to put the kick off. He must have run 100m in even time!

And all this when the game was dead and buried. This kid has a lot of heart.

No doubt.

The millions of Dees fans who bagged Nicho after last week, have a real think about who was to blame for last week.

Zero accountability in midfield meant Thompson did it easy, but a bit of pressure last night & all of a sudden there are almost no marks within range.

But back to Hartigan, he panicked on a few occasions but he did more good than bad. It was a good duel between he & Davey, Aaron made the most of his opportunities.

I don't think there'd be any doubting of Hartigan's heart, he was B&F in a totally dominant Calder Cannons team last year. It's a fair effort that, dead set steal at pick 70.
