I don’t see HH and Ginnivan as being that similar.

To me, Richards might be vaguely a new Ginnivan although he pressures better and is faster, and HH is the new Bear in development.
Harrison has elite traits in being able to use his hands to put others in a better position or to advantage, Ginni is more about Ginni. Not knocking Ginni but he isn’t HH, HH going to get much better and could see him playing that inside mid role in time.

I’ve been wrong plenty but I think we have something special here if he keeps getting and taking his opportunity

Ginni is already being abused by his own team mates

None of them are similar to Ginnivan who imo was unique.
He is unique, I’m not a fan of head chuckers and playing for free kicks, he did it well but he needs to evolve and I think he is doing that under Sam Mitchell currently. Seems a good fit for him at Hawthorn, didn’t see it initially but possibly a great move for him, he has a premiership would be massive if he gets one at Hawthorn after really earning it.

Its such a clear difference between a young player who is clearly destined for AFL level as compared to one who is touch and go. Even if the latter ones make it, their ceiling is rarely very high. But for guys like HH, they may have levels to go yet. Great player.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

The Ginnipig show in 2022 was great viewing and almost a sideshow to the game itself at times.
I know some don't like personalities in footy but for mine it was a great bit of theatre.
The problem was Ginnivan became more concerned on the sideshow than the game

Would a move to half back be worth it for him?

With our players coming back likely to come at the expense of half forwards would it be worth it to move him to half back to keep him in the side?

I think he’d offer more than Markov in that role.

Don't understand the Ginni comparison. HH plays the game a completely different way.
HH still needs to develop a bit. I think he'll end up a high HF/Wing type role in the future.

I love the Ginni show too. But am very happy for it to be in another jumper as I think we've improved our chances of winning with Ginni being replaced. Plus we are allowed to call him a flog now.

They knew what they were doing when they allocated jumper No. 36 to HH. He really is Swanny mkII. Reads the play faster than most, great skills on both sides, natural goal-scorer and clearly loves the big stage.

He’s already Best 23 in my book and I predict he will be a core centre square mid by this time next year.

Don't disagree.

I wasn't the one comparing the 2 players. I am a Harrison fan but he goes about it very differently then Ginnivan which I pointed out.

I wouldn’t mind knowing who the “journo” polled to get the response that Pies fans think Harrison is like Guinea Pig…
