Player Watch Harvey Harrison

It's August yes? 12 months for an ACL? If Harvey has done his ACL in August 2024, why wouldn't he back in August 2025. That's the usual timeframe.
Is that including a mini pre season? Potentially we can get him ready for finals but would you really want to push it?

They will be much more conservative with a young player as opposed to a veteran with finals to play for. Goldy retired the following year didn't he?
Maybe Goldy played another year at port but didn't really get game time?? Goldsack was the quickest comeback ever from an ACL from memory aswell. Definitely shouldn't do that with a youngster.

Ashcroft was back just shy of 12 months. Did it late July 2023, back late June 24. A year is the standard. Harvey has done it early August. No reason why he wouldn't be back playing by next August.

Clubs are tend to be conservative for young players I think they’ll give HH as much time as possible. Even if it’s 12 months. Long term view.

Yep that's what I think too. Twelve months. Hell back August 2025.

Just heard the news on Harvey, feels like I've just taken a knife in the guts and its getting turned slowly but painfully.

Can we please catch a ****ing break some time soon this injury shit is getting ****ing ridiculous.

It's heartbreaking isn't it? He was one of our future shining lights. Poor kid was asked to carry a heavy load during the season with all our injuries & now he cops this.

Still is one of our future shining light. He’s just hit a hurdle.
Yeah, I'm reassured when I see how Ashcroft & Georgiades have returned & think of others who have successfully returned from ACL's.

Just so sad for the poor kid.

McStay was rushing to get back to play finals.

Even if Harrison gets back early he'll just play VFL. Think they'll be a lot more cautious with him. Won't see Harrison play AFL till 2026 at best
I agree regarding Dan.

I'd expect them to be more cautious with a younger player. Not sure why Harvey would be out any more than 12 months unless he had a setback.

No but he's not McStay or Ashcroft - he's not getting picked in the senior side based on one VFL game. He'd need to come back in 11 months to have a realistic chance of breaking into the AFL team.

I didn't mention AFL or VFL specifically. I said no reason why he wouldn't be back in 12 months ..

All things being equal and with confidence in his knee, where is Harvey’s best position?
Could he be a midfield smokey in 2026 with consistent game?
Hoping he can rejuvenate his career as talented.
