Just had a quick look at the news on afl.com.au and was surprised to read of a rumour about Essendon's Mark Harvey.
Apparently, he is in-line to coach a club next year - and it isn't StKilda. 'Choco' Royal is favoured to take that.
The article says that it is likely to be an interstate club. Let's look at the positions.
Brisbane - Leigh has that job for as long as he wants.
Sydney - So does Rocket
Ealges - Realised they would struggle this year, re-building under Judge.
Fremantle - Possibility, but he is building a club which will be successful in the coming years.
Port - Williams had a bad year, but they are too proud a club to sack him.
Adelaide - Not adverse to sacking coaches, Cornes, Shaw come to mind. Expected to make the finals, and didn't. Have lost their number one ruckman and one of their best players in the history of the club due to a falling out with the coach.
The article also stated that the current coach has offloaded some players this season.
My guess is that it will either be Fremantle or Adelaide.
I believe, Adelaide would be the favourite.
