When this guy is fit and firing we seem to win alot more of the ball and dominate games much more easily? Seriously even last year in crunch games i rated him just about our most important player.

He gets so little fan fare but man i'm happy hes back and firing again this year and i'm really happy he'll be wearing a saints jumper this week and not a melbourne one. :)

Anyway he may not have the skills or even the speed of our other midfielders BUT he gets ALOT of the ball, hes tougher then our other blokes and he covers the ground as well as anyone in the competition. His toughness in the packs i believe has alot to do with our recent success and continued form coming into september.

Well seeing as noone else hardly ever gives him a rap,

_Ron_ - Stephen Powell' number one fan!

:)

_RON_ - #1 bandwagon supporter.

Or is it.

Parrot - #1 alias?

Yes i know it's hard milnedog you little ferral man to to stay on topic and give Powell some credit which virtually no saints fan ever does but just try, it won't kill you.

Btw have your tissues run out?

:)

You are not so unique in your ability to see players playing well, many have posted on Powell's contributions before, in fact in one thread I was talking up his Captaincy chances Saints Captain 2005

PS Milnedog 44 and _Ron_, this is the Saints forum, here we treat fellow Sainters with respect. Do what you like on the main forum but in here we are tight. OK?

lol i read the thread and gee suprise, suprise milnedog jumps straight out of the blocks bagging Powell at any opportunity. Great supporter you are milnedog, i guess you think Goddard is a good player however... :)

StKildonan, i agree with not bickering in this forum yet i will respond to tools so i hope you understand.

He's rubbed everyone up the wrong way right from the start.
I thought he might be Parrot, but an IP address check shows that not to be the case. I am forced to grudgingly accept that he probably is a Saints supporter albeit an abrasive one.

I dont give a rats toss bag who posted it but i believe Powelly is a bloody great part of our structure and when he is up and going we are up and going. So you 2 "little" kids knock it off please

I was pretty pumped when we signed Powelly at the start of last year, my mate is a Melbourne supporter and he was equally gutted that he had left.

He has been unlucky at St Kilda (like earlier in his career) with injuries, but when fit and firing he is a much needed member of our 22.
